It never made much sense as to why NOD had access to nukes in the first place. It would take an extreme lapse in national security somewhere for a nuke to be stolen, and on the scale necessary for NOD to use them with abandon SOMEONE must have been asleep for 50 years on the job! Chemical and Biological weapons, maybe, but not nukes.

At least Tiberian Sun made a little more sense with Multi-Missiles and Chemical Missiles by NOD.

@Mazryonh tiberium universe starts on the first red alert game as nod uses all that remained of the USSR including nukes and those SSM vehicles
