It sounds an awfully lot like hypnagogic dream imagery... However, the question remains, why do so many such dream images/experiences manifest in this form?

"Why do you need doors?", they asked. He then goes on to say that the room he entered to change clothes had a door!?!?

How many times do these ETs have to repeat the same experiments on abductees before they get the info they want? The repetition is odd.

Eight foot high ceilings yet some of the ETs are eleven feet tall?

These carft have to be using out of phase reality shift technology to move at the speeds they do without killing the occupants. Like they are slightly out of phase with space time of this universe but moving within it.
