once upon a time ninjutsu wasn't even ninjutsu. It was a number of poor people over many, many years searching for, studying, coming up with and trying different teachings to defend themselves against their opressers. so who's to say what ninjutsu is not, if its effective against the ememy!?

uh, you seem to be mistaken. there is no ninjutsu in the bujinkan... there ARE however discussed in the kukishineden zensho ( takamatsu's old school's compiled history book) that he wrote them asking for permission to mix kuki + karate and market it as kukshen ryu ninpo. when he refused, his letter of resignation/making his own ninja name is ALSO included...
and considering that tanemura was who hatsumi went to to check up on takamatsu's story,
Bujinkan is a collection of nine Ryu, some of them are ninja Ryu. Common names for the ninja martial arts is known as ninjutsu So, Bujinkan contains Ninjutsu. (Among Other) Have trained Bujinkan since 1988. And also heard soke spoken of this of Ninjutsu
Ninpo is just a higher form of ninjutsu. So, no mistakes.
want me to quote some more from the expert you wanted me to read? you know Kacem Zoughari, the bujinkan member and historian? he even says that the collection is written by takamatsu,,,, which means the shit spoken of being older than him are BUSTED!
i can show the citations of TANEMURA, Hatsumi's student who tells us that takamatsu FIRST told them it was KUKISHIN NINPO. it wasn't until after the war that he even MADE UP Togakure ryu,...
@Arteanor u know this would matter if u know anything about the subject but u don't know jack. togakure is real.make sure u tell that to ur hill billy and drunken experts. you don't anything about this subject and i am pretty sure about all the subjects u try to argue. so go blow it our ur ass.
John Lindsey in an interview with Tanemura S asks: "Did Takamatsu always call it Togakure ryu?
"Not at first. When he was associated with the Kuki family he planed to introduce Kukishin Ryu Ninpo in the form of scrolls and densho. But after the war he distanced himself from the Kuki family and decided not to do this. then he met Hatsumi, and Fukumoto, Takamatsu, i decided to teach them Ninpo. That is when he decided to use the name Ninpo."

Why the other guy fall by himself to the ground?
That sweep technique would not be efective made like that. You have to sweep properly. But Hatsumi didn't sweep properly because he knew the dude in grey clothes will fall by himself.
I said "sweep" because english is not my language, I mean he doesn't "kick" with the suficient speed and power to make the other guy fall like that. In other words, the other guy is acting, and falling by himself.
@chavalote funny thing is when ever people who where watching our training say that my teacher would ask them to attack him at full strength.... they always laned up getting hurt, and they never said we where acting again..... go to a training session yourself and see for yourself what it feels like before commenting please.
i dont know were you saw a sweep but that was a kick to a pressure point at above your knee and if you saw he pushed his leg up witch threw him off balance
It could be aimed at the pressure point but while all the attackers weight is on the back leg you would attack the knee to really injure him. Attacking either side of the knee with a powerful kick will really do the damage, it is harder to injure someone long term by merely hyper extending his knee.
The kick is performed like a standard Bujinkan kick, with the aim to 'push' the other person away, carry it out with sufficient speed and the force away from you and down will push most people over.
To counter a kick as with all counters you first move out of the line by stepping at 45degrees, in this case the step was inside the leg and towards the assailant.
This is accompanied by the lead hand grasping the leg, or at the very least should prevent the attacker putting it down again. The attacker is then off balance.
The defender then brings his back leg through and kicks in the same way, a through kick more like a push, behind the attackers knee and downwards, collapsing the leg, whilst simultaniously continuing to move forward carrying the raised leg with him and putting the attacker onto his 'third point', the point at which you are off balance.

you seem to misunderstand. USING THE NAME of ninjutsu does NOT make the art ninjutsu... it is just mislabeled budo.
hatsumi and takamatsu were great budoka but they were not trained in ninjutsu, they did lots of research too.
the problem is that he claims ninjutsu is a martial art,. but the scrolls tell us it is bujutsu,an art of war, tool of the general.
your english is quite good, but your definition of ninpo is wrong.
ninpo org has a good one, historical record too

You will also notice that the defendant uses his second hand to grasp the leg and further push the attacker off balance.
I hope this clears up the misunderstanding you had.
