good game...great story, interesting characters, challenging gameplay, and you have to love those raiding formation and finishing strikes, quite addicting specially if you're in to tactical rpg's...

Actually they did. The name of that game is Valkyrie Profile Lenneth... I think Square Enix is trying to make same games from DS to PSP to PS2(not only those game consoles) For example... they made Kingdom hearts(1 & 2) for the ps2, theyre making a remake For the DS(KH 358/2 days) and they're also making a remake for the PSP(KH Birth by Sleep) Just like Valkyrie Profile Silmeria(PS2) Valkyrie Prof. lenneth(PSP) Valk. Prof. Covenant of the plume. theyre like making same games for these consoles^^

yeah, and if you were to get the game, i would recommend the voice off. It sounds all cheesy and bad. the japanese dub is good though, but then you would have to get the japanese version :/

I thought the same, even without that "overkill", the battle takes way too long to start and develop.

Imagine that times 100 of those by gameplay...

By the time the overkill had started only 20 seconds had passed.

Also, the player takes some time before engaging the battle, so after becoming comfortable with the system you will just mash "A," taking off more time. Is ~17 seconds that bad?

I like games like this where characters makes 100+ combos (Disgaea type), but they really become annoying after a few hours.

I like the fighting and all, and I dont mind spending this kind of time on a monster or something important/big. But on a single fight?

Too much. That is why I left pokemon and other games LOL, I started getting bored years ago when the fights doubled in time.

You can press A anytime you want to skip combo cutscenes, they're pretty fast.

it's not long..in fact,it's even faster than any tactic games..

we get only to deploy 4 characters but all their attacks are linked to each other within their attack range..if you know what i mean

I dont really understand the system for this game, is it like a final fantasy tactics system, or is each battle fought individually with the whole party against a cluster of enemies, with no moving around the map during actuall combat, something like..... lets say Blade Dancer maybe.
