Obviously there was a dark side to Hitch's films. King is asking whether there's a dark side to his life; he's obviously trying to make him out to be a repressed psychopath or something, which is completely untrue. And asking his own daughter about this is just cruel.

Pat has great taste - Notorious is an astoundingly good film.
