"Concorde X"- An FSX Film

Hey, don't put yourself down! I'm just the same as you (and a lot of people besides)... I like to try LOTS of different planes too - load them up, hit 'ctrl + e', drop the flaps a couple of notches and take off! Then, when it doesn't work-out, I HAVE to get the instruction leaflet out and sort it out (or I look for help on YouTube where there's usually an answer). If you're enjoying what you do then that's enough.

I happen to know this from my interest in the real aircraft. I've only just ordered my copy of Concorde X! However, the ramp controls are located on the engineer's panel on the real aircraft so, hopefully, they'll be there on the FSX version. Sorry I can't be of more help. Let me know if you reach Mach 2!!

You'll need to close the engine ramps (slow the air intak down) in order to make it Mach 1 and above.

@dot13badj Yeah.. it was a bug with the replay. Its actually the fire effect on all the time. Wanted to see how many people noticed how screwed up it was ;)

I donn't have the patience to do everything exactly by the book but I do know that if I simply fly straight and level with AB on and full power it won't get to Mach1 and it just starts doing flips in a very surreal way

Well, Maybe I accidentally hit the "Do cartwheels like a gymnast" by accident or something. lol

Must be a bug because it made zero sense at altitude and and full power.. it wouldn't get up to speed with the reheat on and the fuel and payload fairly low. Something wasn't right.

Don't get me wrong. I love the product but it has plenty of room for improvement

@loxos You need something called EZCA. It allows you to "free roam" your aircraft using keys you specify. It also allows you to add camera shake. The drawback is that you have to buy it

@stickman193 those afterburner effects aren't what is used. Flight Sim Labs uses the 'I' key for either debug or testing all effects at once. It includes fires, red hot tyres, large amount of black smoke, etc.

Also when X-Plane 10 comes out you might want to have a look at it, iv seen the sneak peeks and stuff and it's amazing! Way better than FSX!

@masterpie1123 Hey Man.. I think we are similar specs.. I speed the footage up a little to give a better looking FPS. This plane is HORRIBLE on FPS. Probably the worst of any I have save for the VRS F/A-18 maybe

@747legend LOL.. Yeah.. I had an issue with the effects playing back when they should not have. The random ball of fire is a fire in the breaks.... it would be right where the wheel is if the gear were down. I did the video anyway just to see how many people noticed. ;)

A great film with outstanding camera movings and views and a very nice plane.

Mac users cant use any of such concordes, only X-plane (also for Win) with a good free (watch?v=08mAEuhNH6g) and one payware concorde (watch?v=r31qlzMiTeM).

@Chrisy299 To be honest. the slow speed characteristics are ok but high speed is horrible. It goes out of control really easily. It is a pricey add-on and a killer on FPS but it's overall pretty good.

For some reason you were running an engine fire on all four engines! That was not the afterburner effects...LOL It does require a bit of tweaking in FSX, but once that is done, this aircraft is just amazing!! Highly recommended to hard core simmers!

The FPS of the plane is HORRIBLE. Specially from the VC. It has a bunch of little applications or whatever they are called that have to run to make everything work. Its the WORST FPS in my FSX "garage" so to speak :)
