I feel that Apollo Justice was not as good because it did NOT steer away from Phoenix enough. While it's a good game on its own, they gave Phoenix an unnecessary and sad story which pisses off fans of Phoenix. And this also overshadows Apollo's story who's not given enough spotlight.

It's also hard to believe that everything that he had overcame with the cases you solved in the earlier games that it would end out like this. I mean Edgeworth, Maya even Gumshoe surely would of done something to prevent what happened... Apollo is a good game but i didn't enjoy the characters as much in it as the previous 3 Wright games :)

@Jonoridge I kinda agree. But i think I'd enjoy the characters much more if they were given more time to shine and develop. The only really good case in AJ (for me) was the 3rd one, because that was a lot of fun, and Apollo was finally in control. All the other cases were more focused on Phoenix... which was bitter to begin with. The 4th case was pretty damn good, but I still felt sad despite the otherwise happy ending.

Overall, AJ was good, but nowhere near as good as PW1, 2 and 3.

I myself was very sad that there is probably not going to be another Phoenix game; unless they are VERY creative with it and create a twist in order to bring Phoenix back on his feet. But Apollo Justice was a very good game, though the voice-acting on him sucked--but that is another story. Luckily the makers of the game are good at twists. Welcome back Phoenix

@Tatherwood Without spoiling anything, the main problem is that Apollo Justice undid almost all of Phoenix's achievements instantly, and that was very cheap. I mean, in the first three games Phoenix went through a lot, uncovered tons of secrets and convicted many criminal masterminds, but then in AJ he lost so easily.

P.S try the Miles Edgeworth games(they're not that bad)... Oh and Ace attorney and Professor Layton is coming soon... The main characters are Phoenix wright and Professor Layton! The only dumb thing is that it's rendered in 3d... Guess we will never see a true ace attorney game... It's actually sad... A great series ending in tremble... :'(

@TheVukadin Yeah, I finished the Miles Edgeworth game already. It wasn't that bad. Although it's lame that you go from Prosecutor to Detective, IMHO. Buy yeah, Edgeworth is still awesome XD

And I knew about the Dr. Layton one, but a crossover is a crossover: it doesn't follow the main series.

My point stands: unless they make a PW 4 that takes place in the timespan between 3 and the case in AJ... AJ officialy meant the death of PW.

It has a neat option where rather than pressing the button, you can say the words (HOLD IT!! TAKE THAT!! OBJECTION!! etc.) and I usually don't use it. But when it's time to object, I don't care where I am, be it home, bus, or in a bank that's being robbed, I WILL yell "Objection!!" So props to your partner xD

The third is Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.

People call the next game in the series "Phoenix Wright 4" but it's not technically a Phoenix Wright game, so I hate that name. It's called Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.
