There are so many great guitarists out there, I highly doubt you can distinguish one as "the best." With that said, Mark Tremonti is definitely one of the best hard rock guitarists ever. No questions asked. And just because he hasn't sold as much as Clapton doesn't mean shit. Lil Wayne has sold a shit load of albums and he sucks ass! We are in a different era of music than we were back when Clapton was around. Classic music was the rap and R&B of today so obviously Clapton would have sold more.

You haven't shown an ounce of credibility for what you've said, Mark is a TECHNICALLY better player than Clapton, Perry and Slash ask anyone who's an accomplished guitarist!! He may not be as famous, but hey, he wrote some of the biggest rock songs of the past 20 years and has a diamond selling record.

Clapton, Slash and Perry have written some of the biggest rock songs of ALL TIME, Appetite For Destruction is still the greatest album of altime statistically and i dont see Mark in the hall of fame 4 different times. By saying he is technically a better is probably referring to his speed which must mean you are a arrogant metal head that believes speed is talent. Speed is completley overated, Hendrix didnt even play that fast does that make him worse then Mark?

@alanpastor90 it was at the Classic Rock Magazine Awards, not a gig. The people sat around are the biggest rock stars in the world, staff from record labels, PR people, and some of the sponsors. These people are not hardcore fans at a concert.

Recuerdo que en una entrevista de hace un par de años atrás, Slash dijo que despreciaba la escena de rock actual, y se refirió a Nickelback y a Creed como a "2 bandas que no le entregaban nada a la gente, cero pasión"... Just for the record, tinnitus does not make you tone deaf...and IF one were tone deaf, you wouldn' be able to sing well AT ALL...like Myles is doing...in this video...Also, IT'S A LIVE PERFORMANCE!...Shit happens and harmonies may not lock.

also another reason for myles vocal issues is the fact that he suffers from tinnitus which is something that seriously affects his hearing and hes pretty much tone deaf, but he can still sing better than anybody out there.
