Honostly, I don't get what people find so hard about quit smoking.

I smoked from 15 till 20 and I just stopped. Sometimes I got the feeling 'hmm, I could have a sigaret now', like when I'm waiting for something and just stand there.

But I never got the feeling "OMG I REALLY NEED ONE".

It's great that you quit. I could never ever gather the fortitude to tell anyone to stop smoking. I told that to my uncle when I was a kid and he got a black eye and a bloody nose. i quit smoking 6 months ago... hardest part was the first 3 days... after that i was smooth sailing. smoking fucked my anxiety up soo bad, i had to quit... either that or walk around feeling kinda off all day. quitting smoking was possibly the best decision i ever made. and at that i quit cold turkey which was the hardest part of it all.

I've been smoking since I was 15 and I'm 20 now. Not that long compared to other people of course but it's long enough for me to feel the effects smoking can have on a person....and I don't care. I've met plenty of people who have lived WAY beyond their due date and smoked, and some who have succumbed earlier on. The whole "you should do it so you live healthy while you're here." thing doesn't ring true for me anymore because anything can kill just as easily as smoking, but good on ya Gina. :)

I confess that after watching my mom die to emphysema because she never quit, I have at times come across as the self-righteous anti-smoking person just because I've witnessed its horrible effects firsthand. Nowadays, however, I will tell a person what smoking did to my mom and my dad (almost killed him too)--but from then on leave it at that.

one more thing. I found that the GOOD electronic cigarettes cost more than reg cigarettes. You tell us if they cost more.
