  • @jarredandtina90.. I was there too and it was the only WWF experience I had. I was also 10 lol, it seems like it was last year or just a week ago us WWF fans were watching raw or smackdown.

  • "The Rock!", "Benoit!", "A war!", "Tonight live!", JR's commentary is so freaking amazing!

  • Chris Beniot looked like he was on steriods!

  • They should have let him win the title that night and then let him drop the title in a triple threat or a fatal four way at Summerslam 2000. Benoit would have been the first man to win the WWF (E) title and WCW title in a calendar year, actually 6 month span.

  • 1:41 if you smeeeeexghjt......LOL

  • As an ardent Rock fan back in the day the biggest shame was the he never got to win the WWF title at Wrestlemania, they always made him give it up

  • Comment removed

  • Chris Benoit is the best ever and his family deserved to die... they were holding benoit back and plus nancy is a giant slut and daniel is a lil retard

  • @djwrox94 You have to admit his kid knew how to sell a sleeper.

  • @djwrox94 What the fuck is wrong with you you fucking retard, show some respect you piece of shit.

  • "Are Shane Mcmahon n Chris Benoit together"

    "Chris benoit n i are just friends"..........PAUSE

  • Chris Benoit and The Rock were my favorite two wrestlers back in the day - this match was awesome!

  • lol dont you dare kick him j.r ! ha ha love the king

  • 7 15 'dont kick him jr' lmao

  • I was there, and this PPV was fantastic from start to finish.

BTW, they were wearing the Rock's stuff because earlier in the PPV they had broken into the Rock's trailer and ransacked it. They were making a big deal that night about the Rock being from Dallas, and when he came in there, that place EXPLODED.

  • even a b-grade ppv back then was epic

  • its the PG rating that the rock wont come back and stay

  • @MrNicky88 yeah man, he cant be himself in promos because of wwe banning shit

  • @MrNicky88 No. It's. NOT.

  • R.I.P Benoit! :(

  • Back then the Rock was the original Orton or Cena. At least Benoit was an out an out wrestler as opposed to a gimmicky mic-orientated "superstar". The Rock used to talk some shit every time he opened his mouth. All that jabroni beatin' cream pie eatin' blah blah blah I bet he did eat some cream pies. RIP and God blss Chris and his family Nancy and Daniel. His health suffered for our entertainment whereas the Rock just grew rich. Apart from Bret, Benoit is, was and will forever be the best.

  • @MZophiel LOL Shut up you clown,

  • @danathor99 Great point. Really intelligently crafted and presented.

  • @MZophiel Yeah i'd like to think so, especially when compared to your paragraph of crap... Rock = Orton, Cena? Joking? Forget 'bout it kid

  • @MZophiel Except that unlike ORTON or CENA the Rock earned his way. Ever heard of THE KLIQ? HBK and HHH almost shot the Rock down before he even got started. Bret even said that, and he also said that while he was WWF Champ in 97 he gave Rock all the advice he could because he KNEW Rock would be the face of the company.

Go screw yourself. The Rock rules, deal with it. BTW I'm a big Benoit fan as well but you are a tool.

  • Ever Entrance the Rock made from a kid till now as an adult still gives me goosebumps

  • Why the hell is shane always wearing the rock's attire, Everytime the rock had a feud with sum1 shane mcmahon would always manage the rock's enemy, he would annoy the hell outta me

  • @Dragontohancock Shane McMahon would wear anything related to his opponet.

  • Damn, WWF has a lot of talent back then, The Rock, Austin, HHH, Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, BIg Show, Hardy boyz... Now just one of them came back and WWE will be entertaining again :)

  • great rivalrie, benoit should been wwf champion back here and not 2004

  • Is it jus me or was Shane tryna be a white version of Don King? Not tryna be....you know. It jus hit me

  • this ppv could have been a wrestlemania

  • the brahma bull, the great one, the most electrifying man, the people's champ

he is the only man who can keep the people entertained like no one can

  • benoit is better than The rock he always was FUCK whoever disagree

  • @jerichorocker1234 that's a hott one

  • @MayaWinrow ???

  • Excellent quality.

This feud had The Rock getting angry to like maniacal levels. When he went ham on Benoit backstage that night on Raw, I was like "Damn. I guess we know never to really piss off the Great One or he'll run you into a Pepsi machine and Rock Bottom you on a limo."

Why didn't Shane have his own merch? He was like the ultimate merch promoter for other wrestlers. I definitely would've bought a Shane T-shirt. He once wore a Shane O'Mac jersey, but I don't know if they ever sold it.

  • Wouldnt it have made more sense to have just made the match No DQ

  • I was here live in Dallas, I was 10 yrs old. It was an awesome experience for the whole family, being out first WWF event. Great PPVs back then, every match had a storyline, now PPV matches seems thrown together and rushed. They should promote PPVs better

  • @jarredandtina90

I agree. WWE should wait 2 month in between PPVs. They only give themselves 3 weeks in between each PPVs. That is only 3 RAW shows and 3 SMACKDOWN shows. The feuds should end at PPVs not continue to the next one. The PPV is the big explosion after months of heated cheap shots and smack talk.

  • @jarredandtina90

And when did they start putting World Heavyweight title shots as the first match of Wrestlemania and other PPVs? The WWE title should always be main event and the champion should always come out last....even if the challenger is more popular...

  • @jarredandtina90 thats what they cant do anymore :( the superstars today are not standing up to their selfs and do what ever vince wants to do.. they all cowards that why it PG

  • lmao @ shane

  • part 2?..

  • this was a great ppv.

  • The rocks entrance music just never gets old

  • y would shane show up to ringside with the rock's t-shirt on?

  • @saber6gt It was to taunt him, since a scene earlier in the PPV showed him and Benoit trashing the rock's locker room.

  • OMG the quality is excellent but theres only 1 video on your account :(

  • nice promo

  • u hit a mean dog with a stick u know what u get king? wat? u get ur ass bit.

    god i love jr

  • back then.....the wwf championship belt was more valuable or precious than the wwe championship belt thumbs up if u agree !!!

  • @sharartiangel i loved the wwf title. it was just cool to look at as a kid and seemed 100x more prestigious than the current golden belt of crap they call the wwe championship. it seems it changes hands like its in a game of hot potato and it just ends up back with cena anyway. couldnt agree more with u.

  • one of the best rock's match

  • i prefer WWF over WWE anyday!

  • good feud

  • fuck me how sick did the promos used to be!

  • y do ppl say RIP benoit

his family shud rest in peace but he shud burn in hell...

he was an amazing wrestler and had some of the best matches in history but his career doesnt describe the type of person he was

  • @BASSER911414 he was a person with a brain debilitating disease from multiple concussions (and not steriods) not a murder but a victim of CTE a side effect of his love for this sport...RIP Chris Benoit

  • @MaliDaProblem at the end of the day he killed his wife and son and killed himself. he was a depressed man true but the the punishment for murder and suicide is eternal damnation

no one doubts in ring performance or his love for the sport but he did what he did. and murder and suicide because of illness isnt a side effect of the sport. its the side effect of not taking care of yourself.

  • Rock is the greatest of all time. The absolute best ever on the mic and damn good in the ring!

  • @Kingjd87, but not the best WRESTLER of all time.

  • Your Really Funny

  • Man, even after what Benoit did, I STILL love this match! WWE may want to erase it but outside of his bouts with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and The Undertaker, this is one of my favorite Rock matches! Benoit really forced him to "Bring It" in this one!

  • Man, even after what Benoit did, I STILL love this match! WWE may want to erase it but outside of his bouts with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and The Undertaker, this is one of my favorite Rock matches!

  • um the Title should say WWF because WWE doesnt make good matches anymore

  • My God. What a promo.

  • @TheTenjin666

i say it began with the screwjob

  • i watched this on channel 4 in 2000

  • @unoder lol i noticed that about Shane too. he would wear EVERYONE'S tees; face or heel. great way to promote t-shirt sales i suppose. back in The Corporation days he had a jersey for everyone; DX, The Rock, Stone Cold, etc.

  • I was 7 years old when I saw this promo.

  • the music and the way the edit all this shit together makes it seem as if the fate of the world is on the line lol.

  • R.I.P . Chris Benoit

  • Lol Shane's in Chris's corner but he's wearing The Rocks T-Shirt.

  • Them Days Of Wrestling Will Never Be Forgotten :')

  • this match was way better then the rivarly of cena & orton put together

  • i cant stand watching benoit get hit in the head with a chair i no it just is one more brain cell destroyed

  • @superalali search up rock vs hhh ironman match thats th only time he beat him fairly

  • wwf championship; silver [c] vs kunckles

  • This rivalry was awesome R.I.P Chris Benoit

  • Benoit: I'm the greatest technical wrestler in the WWF today!

The Rock: Technically, The Rock is gonna whoop your candy ass!

  • lmao shane is hilarious dressing up as the rock.

  • Chris Benoit is 1000X better wrestler then The Rock... the rock is only popular coz of his trash talking n mic skills...

  • @SuperUzi007

The Rock is popular because he was absolutely FANTASTIC on the microphone. Wrestling skills aren't everything. Look at Kaval/Loki. He's a great wrestler but will he ever be a huge star?Probably not, because he sucks on the microphone. Its SCRIPTED ENTERTAINMENT. If you want to rant on about 'wrestling ability' then quit watching WWF/E and watch UFC or amateur wrestling. All of the most popular wrestlers were great on the microphone.

-The Rock was THE BEST on the microphone EVER.

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge Thats wht i was saying... i was nt disgracing the rock... I love The Rock bt only coz of his mic skills n the way he makes fun of others nt coz he is a great wrestler... if u compare The Rock vs Chris Benoit frm the wrestling point of view then i thnk u knw who is a better wrestler obviously Benoit.... Benoit is 1000X better wrestler then The Rock... The Rock is only great coz of his mic skills nthing else... in my P.O.V John Cena is 2nd Rock. Both r same...

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge Undertaker has never talked on the mike and he is the most famous wrestler of the WWe

  • @pamviewer9 undertaker has talked on the mic :S during the attitude era and his biker and badass gimmick he did alot of mic talking :S in fact undertaker is quite talented when it come to being on the mic

  • @SuperUzi007

So yeah, if you want to be ENTERTAINED then shut up and watch The Great One kick a murdering scumbag's ass.

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge N son while u r replying to any comment dnt get on fire... n i knw wht happen to Benoit bt it doesn't matter coz i see Benoit as a wrestler 4 wat he have done in the ring... Benoit is the best technical wrestler ever... i respect Benoit 4 wat he did 4 us in the ring... Benoit was is n will be always be missed... R.I.P Benoit...

  • @SuperUzi007 Shut up your hell fuckin mouth you otha shithi

  • @SuperUzi007 Wrong, The Rock was a fantastic wrestler. Yes, Benoit was a 1000x better technical wrestler but named me how many wrestler do you know that was "6.5 225+lbs and had the athlecticism and agility of The Rock? Not only that but The Rock arguably was the greatest storyteller on the ring and a superb seller. No one made the crippler crossface more devastating than The Rock. Look at Jericho for example, great on the mic and a great technician but cant tell a story to save his life. cont

  • @jungle10ful And thats why Jericho cant be trusted on a the main-event spot on a consistent basis. Its one thing to have the mic skills and its a other to be a great technician but if you cant transfer your character in the ring without making your opponent look good? The fans are just going to get bored. The Rock had the ability to put the audience on the edge of their seat on a regular basis. Even Stone Cold who was a great storyteller wasnt quite has good has The Rock. The Rock was a GREAT.

  • @jungle10ful Jericho can't be trusted in the main event on a consistent basis because he cant tell a story? May I ask why guys like Cena who can't tell a story are consistently on top dominating? They don't tell a story. Popularity. Popularity and the ability to draw money trumps Everything. Everything. Rock drew more then Benoit ever did, just as guys like Cena put asses in seats more then guys they face ever do. Its all about popularity, I respect your opinion, but its wrong. Wrestling biz101.

  • @jungle10ful to continue, Jericho has been doing it for about 20 years now, all over the world, and has had some of the best matches in the past couple of years in the WWE. He has told countless stories in countless feuds in countless matches over the years, and has the whereabouts and respect for the business, much like The Rock does, to know when to say enough is enough. To say Jericho couldn't tell a story to save his life.. that is just stupid.

  • @jungle10ful The Rock is 6'2 max

  • @forevercold88 are you crazy the rock is 6'5 the only thing was over emphasized was his weight

  • @TheCaptainchaffing Haha he wasn't even listed as 6'5 in college playing for the hurricanes. He was listed at 6'4 back then. And he's not even 6'3...

  • @jungle10ful i agree with you in all you say except the last thing you said. Chris Jericho CAN tell a story in the ring!! Especially when he returned in 2007 until 2010, look at the feuds with michaels, mysterio, edge and the legends, but its okay is your opinion!!

  • thats a real championship belt the belt they use on raw is a joke

  • November 9th, 1997-April 1st, 2001

R.I.P. the greatest era in wrestling history

  • what an epic promo!..damn!

  • well Benoit looks insane, and tbh he did actually kill his wife n kids so w/e :/

  • from the time the rock left wwe it all went tits up

  • jim ross and the king damn i luv the way how they commentate lol they tell it like it is...jr-"the rock is goin extract 700 dollar asswhuppin on benoit lol

  • @901goldberg i swear jr gives you chills with his voice....man i miss the good ol days...

  • Chris Benoit and The Rock had great chemistry together. Too bad the feud the didn't last too long.

  • @lsufa Yep....Think it's a crying shame they didn't have more of a feud. WWF really dropped the ball on that one. Because honestly, I don't think it's right that benoit had to wait four years for a WWE world title and Jericho had to wait a year and a half while Big Show got his nine months after entering the company. We all know Benoit and Jericho are far better wrestlers than Big Show (and Jericho is far more entertaining)

BTW R.I.P. Benoit (and Eddie too)

  • @HuskerFanatic It's really sad. Plus Big Show never did anything memorable while champion.

  • @lsufa Agree. Even while Big Show was champ the first time you knew he was just keeping it warm for Triple H to get it back and keep it until he faced the Rock or Austin in a main event.

  • Shit... Benoit was ready for the World Title in 2000... why wait 4 years to give it to him in 2004?

  • @WillFoSkill That was The Rock year pretty much to stand out for most since Stone Cold took off for a year.

  • @cronaldofan017 Kinda like how 2010 is Orton's year opposed to Cena.

  • @WillFoSkill coz he was neither the lead face or lead heel in 2000.

  • @mchan32 You don't have to be either to win the WWE Title.

  • These two had surprisingly GREAT chemistry, you wouldn't think so if you looked at them both individually

  • R.I.P. Benot. His career blew up to great heights in the WWE.

  • haha i just watcher night of champions AND IT WAS SO SHIT compared to this. This match was better than the hole champions ppv.

  • you poke a angry dog with a stick you kno what happens then king? you get your ass bite lmao JR

  • what a build-up,not even close to a cena-orton wwe title one

  • hahaha foley was da commish at the time damn the crazy intense sadistic entertaining days oo how i miss how life was :)

  • now, these were the times, fuck the pg era!

  • fully loaded 2000..benoit number one contender for the highest champion in wwe...wrestlemania 20...he deserve to win world champion..

  • damn that was a good promo not like these days

  • Hey remember when Main Events at PPV's were really MAIN EVENTS!

  • He's Nasty, Mean, Uncaring, Shameless, Meticulous, Dangerous, Chris Benoit Is a man with "Something" Focus, He has no compassion, He has no feeling's, He's a man on a mission! Benoit is "Something", He vicious, A "Careless?" human being, He Calls himself the greatest technical wrestler In the World Wrestling Federation today! That Is actually a really clever creative names! Great combination for a heel!

  • @TheMaslingsterDude I think he says ''a callous human being''

  • This is the Benoit I wish we still had in WWE so atleast he could show these newcomers what really is "WRESTLING" & also I wished Kurt Angle was there too.

  • The attitude era was so much better than what they have now

  • @CrazyKevaa17

    No prob, man!

  • @CrazyKevaa17

    /watch?v=JVAppa1GsMg&feature=channel

09:00 of that vid and it goes all the way through the end of that part into Part 6. That account has the entire PPV up on it.

  • R.I.P Chris Benoit and family

  • @Thejeditusken2

wait, you do know that HE was the one who killed his family right?

  • @dval08 i know but i heard that he will never be inducted to the wwe hall of fame

  • @Thejeditusken2

no, chances are, he never will...I was as big a Benoit fan as anybody man, its sad that what he did will keep his wrestling legacy from being honored the way it should, but it is what it is.

  • @dval08 i know.i agree but according to al snow, ted dibiase sr, bret hart, chris jericho, and john cena had said that that he'll never be in the hall of fame because of what he did (on larry king live)

  • I still remember the night i saw this live on ppv, i was sitting there eating popcorn and enjoying myself, this brings back good memories of when wrestling was still at its best.

  • @younghiphopsoul

Same here. I was a 9 year old watching this, sitting there with some food and watching this PPV. Good times, eh? When wrestling was great and it was common to be a wrestling fan.

  • @superalali hhh did beat him once by himself dont u remember that ironman match

  • the rock throws a beer in benoits face!!

  • I love how HHH just casually strolls by The Rock. Those guys were feuding for a good three months not to long before this match, so of course he's not gonna lift a hand to help him.

  • @jeremycarrier Yeah and they weren't exactly friends outside the ring either. Hunter said as much in the history of DX book.

  • I never understood why the crippler crossface was so lethal!

  • @johnnybeavis lemme put it on you n find out

  • i always love coming upon a match that turns out being in really great quality. thanks for the post.

  • I remember earlier in the night Chris Benoit tore The Rock 's clothes in his locker room and I was like 'how dare he!

  • i would never want to piss the rock off, especially after seeing this!

  • 1 of the best storylines i think...2 very good WWF not wwe wresttlers...!

    R.I.P CHRIS BENOIT

  • weighing in at two hundred and twenty ei--nine pounds xD he gained a pound in a second. the wwf rocked n kicked ass!

  • i just noticed that no 1 has beat the rock without help except for stonecold triple h a

    nd goldberg

  • @VeLoCiTy511 U forget Undertaker ;)

  • @VeLoCiTy511

yeah stone cold beat him once without help i think in wrestlemania 1999 but as for my informations triple h never beat him without help i watched all their matches, goldberg beat him without help, but the rock wasnt really a much of a wrestler in 2003, to remind u....remember xpac, roaddog, billy gun, vince, shane, stephane...HBK helping HHH everytime he faces the rock

  • "The Rock! Benoit! A war! Tonight live!" Man! You can't get any more epic!!!

  • Benoit had the chair upside down.

  • The build and the match was very good. 2 bad there's hardly good build ups these days.................

  • You barely see build up like this nowadays.

  • what a quality 5/5!!

  • amazing quality

  • @gocelts34n7 i think its between 1991 and 2001...ever since the Undertaker arrived....

  • Man, The Rock looks like a million bucks walking to the ring..

  • funny chris benoit was champ for 5 mins

  • the wwe can't compete with this. lol

  • Chris Benoit and I are just.... friends.

  • Damn! That's some nice ass quality!

  • Like it or not, 2000 was a great year for WWE where the midcard was actually prominent to the WWE. Guys like Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Rikishi, Venis, Godfather, Test, Too Cool, Edge, Christian, and many more were getting very watchable. Even w/o Austin up until September, they still churned out good Main Event matches, mostly because of HHH, Angle, Rock, Taker and Kane.

  • it was a great rivalry while it lasted

  • I wish the rock would of had more technical matches to show he can wrestle instead brawl

  • Great quality.

  • Chris Benoit= Ruthless Aggression

  • Chris Benoit = Toothless Aggression
