everyone should see the documentary on circus animal abuse... I used to love the circus as a kid... I even took my son... but after watching what they do to animals in order to train them and house them.... I feel horrible for paying for their torture

Lol... If you went to the peta website please be careful of what you think about ringling brothers... I work at a few of the venues they perform at yearly, and I can assure you that they take better care of their animals than what peta says. there's no way to tell which circuses are represented in those videos other than the ones that clearly say ringling brothers.

No matter if they're abused or not, personally I still believe that taking them out of their natural environment (or rearing them in captivity) is punishment in itself. They shouldn't be forced into an unnatural and most likely unhappy life, especially not just for the sake of entertainment, which as I see it is one of the least worthy reasons I can think of!

I work for ringling now, and I can personally atest that none of them are taken out of the wild... peta lies big time...

also... about the abuse... they are take better care of them then they do the people. On a long train run, the stop daily to water and walk the animals... but they wont refill the peoples cars with water...

Elephants don't belong in trains or in the circus. These animals belong in their own habitat. If they would lock you up for 23 hours a day, beat you on a regular basis and let you parade in front of a bunch of morons, you wouldn't like that too much, because you don't belong there either!
