Sorry, but you've missed the verse. It says: "will cause the wandering away of those called out, when possible." Poor translations or archaic-english translations will do that. The Tribulation will happen. Some disgruntled part of "those called out" will leave the church and will aid in the capturing and the killing of the saints.

You've misquoted yet another person. C.J.Herber did not say that the rapture would not happen. He said that the pre-trib rapture was fake.

Yep. The great "wandering away" may very well happen with persecutions and tribulations start.......... but millions of comfortable American pre-tribbers are suddenly uncomfortable, persecuted and un-raptured.

Darby pushed the pre-trib rapture. It was very much dreamed up.

People are fooled so easily that Satan could use technology because it would be so easy to pull everyone's strings. He'll use whatever he can get his hands on to decieve the people. The material things will be his tool because that's where sin dwells, including technology. So assuming technology to decieve is understandable. It's one possibility and one that could very easily come to pass. We must prepare ourselves for all possibilities and the Rapture.

i've also read Peter Lemesurier's more accurate translations of the Nostradamus Quatrians, and if you're familiar with these works then Peter's book is quite an eyeopener, it soon becomes pretty clear just how badly interpreted they were to begin with. Hence the powerful myth that has grown up around people like Michel de Nostradame over time.
