I disagree. I would rather state that they are ignored by the public. Most musicians kniow good artists as soon as they hear them but doesn't allways necessary like the genre.

You wrote ignored by _muscicians_. And I disagree. I do not think the major part of the musical community is on youtube watching videos of bands. The public, however, do. I actually met all the members of both karmakanic and Agents of mercy when they had their open starter show in Lund, here in sweden a couple of weeks ago. Progressive rock is almost all I listen to :)

Either way, you can always youtube karmakanic, and i'm pretty much sure you won't find many songs; you can even google karmakanic:

-Wikipedia has NOTHING.. really 2 or 3 words, only in italian or something like that (i can't remember which language was it)

-it was a pain in the ass for me to find their albums..

well the thing is... I'm planning to study at KTH there in Stockholm... :P but i need to practice swedish before i get there (I'm just starting to learn it), and it would be of great help to have someone native to speak with (msn or something), and since you dig prog music that much, as I do.. i guess that would be a first nice theme :p..

But well, it's only if you don't mind.. otherwise, that would be ok too man =)

I would disagree with one of your assessments that musicians do not go to youtube to look for interesting, new bands and materials. I am one of them, I am pretty well educated about music, yet yesterday was my first time I ever heard this band. It slipped through my fingers somewhere...I know many guys like me who are musical fanatics and we share everything "new" we find...

Ok, I'm actually glad you found this video then :). Spread the news.

However, most fans of progressive music do know who some of the members in this group is. They have been a part of that scene for many, many years. And if you locate a store where you could buy the cd's they are there together with bands such as Spocks Beard, Yes, Dream Theater, Pain Of Salvation, Genesis, Marillion, Flower Kings and Procupine tree to name a few.

I knew immediately on the first listen that it falls into Kaipa, Flower Kings category. I just did not know about this line up. I am not new to progrock, know and own pretty good number of bands and cd's.

What i say isn't that Karmakanic is minuspreciated by musicians... my argument was that Karmakanic is really unknown, for both public in general.. and musicians..
