  • your parrot is taking out its feathers...

  • my mom had a parrot that could say FUCK YOU!!!!! and she took it to a store, and it was screaming, and a lady came over and said in a snotty voice: too? bad your bird can't talk, and the parrot turned and said FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!

  • @MRT0BY510 ROFL really ?

  • and how long does it take to tame indian ringneck's

  • how long would it take to train a young indian ringneck

  • He's a wonderful creature, you make sure you get that feather problem fully sorted.

  • he has an indian accent

  • Tookie needs more entertainment...he's plucked so that means he's bored.

  • Sure it's not Toki from Dethklok?

  • makes me think of george of the jungle. is that where you got the name tookie from ? lol

  • @RachelF19 I honestly cannot remember how we came up with that name, but he says it so well :)

  • @ThePurplePalace awwwww :D so cute and cuddly i wish I had a bird :(

  • תוכי חמוד מאד

  • I think Tookie sounds better than Bert.

  • @fkhang9223 he'd be about 9yrs old now.

  • @ThePurplePalace is he dead? :(

  • choooooo cute

  • African Ringnecks are just like other animals or birds. They each have the own personality. Mine has bonded to me yet she gets along with all other members of the family. She lets even me know that she wants her space. They are very loving.

  • ello :)

  • He's so cute! He looks like a baby chicken or a Peep marshmallow or something! <3333

  • where you get him from soooooooo nice

  • Hello Tookie! Tookie is so cute and talks so clear, I'm amazed it only has only 43595 views, it must have like a million actually!

  • 0:24 it says "Hello Tookie". =D

  • So adorable.

My lutino flew away and came back. So happy :)

  • can i ask, do they "attatch" to one person, and bite everyone else? or are they like terratorial, or like everyone? ( im gonna get one) and more importantly what do they eat?

  • The girls have a tendancy to be more loyal and fall in love with just one person. Mine bites everyone else except me :P

They are pretty terrotorial, I have a few cockatiels too and when they climb on my ringnecks cage she gets abit angry

I feed my birdy cockatiel seed. I also give her fresh fruit and veges at least once a week.

As long as you dont give them coffee or onions, they should be fine :)

  • They can eat Seeds, any fruits/ vegetables besides avocados and mushrooms, also animal peanuts can kill em.

They do attach to one person generally but if you have alot of people in your house and they share an interest in training it, then you have no problem with it being comfortable around you

  • I love how he tells himself that he's a good boy; someone must love him a great deal.

  • what did u make the cage out of i have a patagonian conure and im getting one these but i want to make a cage so its a little cheaper

  • he looks cute with those white feathers on his stomach

  • How sweet. Reminds me of my Zippy when he was a chick.

  • my macal is 9 yrs her name is Amiga, which means friend in spanish, but my little qwaker parrot named mally died, poor thing i belive that had i changed there diet back then he probably would still be here, really it is so important that u do what ever u have too, because they die so easly an it feels sooooo bad to lose such a spiecal friend as a sweet loving parrot that calls u mama, belive me i know, anyway, good luck to u an ur sweetie bird an God bless:D

  • I have a macal an she wasnt looking so hot, until i started feeding her orenges an bannas with her parrot food, u see in the wild that is what they naturaly eat, they need the vitimen c, an she also needs more attention, U difenitly have to stimulate her, put the tv on an she must have toys she can destroy in the wild parrots look so good because of these things, they break wood all day long, wood is free, i get it from the garden around the corner of my house, good luck with UR baby!

  • sooooooooooooooo cute

  • Is that a budgie in the same cage?

  • If you loveyour bird give him a friend- than he will stop with eating his feathers-It deserves it as it is such a nice bird

  • I am tired of having to justify myself to people who don't check out his other videos. I love my bird and take better care of him than most.

  • Aww thats sweet, I have two indian ringnecks a male Green Named Roma and what appeared to be a female,I call Clara. I just took one back and exchanged it cos it turned out to be a male, and here they can't tell you for certain if there male or female but the new bird is acting differently than the last so called female so I have high hopes!!

Tookie is Gorgeous I wish mine where that tame :(

  • Thank you for watching! I got Tookie that way by making sure I spent as much time with him as possible...it just takes patience and love :)

  • wow cute bird! how did it come up with tookie? It was a cute name though.

  • His original name was Bert (as in Bert & Ernie from seasame street cuz he's yellow) but one day he started saying 'Tookie' and so that is what we decided to call him.

  • Id just thought i wud let u know a friend off mine had a bird that plucked her feathers, she knitted a jumper for him lol and she looked very cute

  • I would put something on him, but it's just turned summer here in Queensland and it's waaaay too hot for that kinda treatment.

  • did u get him from aprvious owner.

  • No we bought him from a pet store as a hand raised baby.

  • aww tookie ceeyute name

  • :) Thanks very much :)

  • It looks like a girl bird. Very pretty.

  • :) Thank you :)

  • so cute!

  • Isn't he just!! :)

  • omgggg soo adorablee!! i love yellow, and the bird!! aww soo cuteee

  • :) Thank you :)

  • Tookie may be half naked but he sure is beautiful!! I wish you both a long happy healthy life together!

  • Thanks pattyinla :)

  • sounds like a chipmunk

  • Nice bird you got there. I have got one the same but mine is green =p

  • Thanks! The green ones are nice too :)

  • My bird can say jagshemash :D but i cant record him he hides everytime i take out the cam :@

  • Im lucky that Tookie doesn't mind the camera, if it's not to near him of course.

  • But my bird is an bastard he laughs at me AHHAHA :P I'll catch him on video someday :P

  • Welcome!!

  • I think the ending part Tookie said "Hello for what?" Hehe.. Perhaps.. But cute again!! I'm a fan of your bird! :)

  • Thanx again Roxy!

  • What a beautiful bird! Tookie is so funny. I love how he is so high pitched when he says "Tookie" =)

  • I luv him 2 bits....spesh when he does his 'squishy' talk.

  • He is just precious. If he has stopped his plucking you have worked a miracle and loved him enough. Good for you. What an awesome bird mommy.

  • Yeh you would be a cats hero if you brought a birdie in haha. Parrots take a lot of time and need a lot of attention and affection or they just won't be friendly. You can enjoy Tookie, since you can't have your own right now. :-)

  • How adorable. . .I want a bird like that, but im sure my cats would NOT be pleased with me. . .

  • oh your cats probly would be pleased...cuz then they can watch it and try to catch it and eat it....so yeah prob best not to get one....

  • ok, let me rephrase that, the bird would not be pleased with me to bring it into this apartment. The cats probley would have a blast chasing it around though. The poor bird wouldnt stand a chance. Your bird is simply adorable. I had parakets once, but they were just so annoying and not friendly.

  • I see he's a feather plucker...

  • I will be posting a new vid of him today, he isn't plucking on his front anymore and his back looks to be getting better too.

  • Just checking in on Tookie again. Give him lots of hugs and kisses, because you never know when something can happen. A couple of hours ago my sweet lutino IRN Pippin was found dead of unexplained causes (I'm calling the vet to schedule a necropsy tomorrow). I can't stop crying, I want my baby back so much.

  • On one of the overtheraynbow videos they have put a jacket on a bird who was picking feathers. It is a sock with the toe cut out with slits for the wings to go through. I wonder if that would help.

  • Thanx erra, I have actually viewed that vid myself too and it's a great idea. Tookie is actually looking fantastic on his front again. I will be posting a new vid soon of him looking better.

  • So cute! Are Indian Ringnecks generally cuddly?

  • Ispitz, I think they are cuddly. But mine is more kissable..they are only small birds, the size of a cockatiel. Tookie is extremely soft and so I like to give him kisses.

  • I was gonna get a parrot ( ive had one b4 )

i either want a quaker or an indian ringneck...

I want something that would be nicest to me, but a bit wary of others, and take tiome to know guests. ive heard that ringnecks can be loud, very loud, can you make them be quiet? can you toilet train them?

so, the females are the ones that tend to be more "attatched" to one person, what are the males like?

its likley im gonna get a male, would they still be like that?

  • Cute!

    I want mine to talk!

  • errLuff...just start by saying one particular word to them lots and lots all throughout the day and week etc....say it clearly and hopefully it should pick it up. All the best with it!

  • Y don't you try Bitter Apple for birds? They make it for dogs to repell them from things b/c it tastes and smells bad. I think the bird forumla only tastes bad.

  • Thanx captmicha, he is actually fully covered on his front once again now...and his back isnt as bad. Tryin' 2 spend more time with him so he feels 'loved' and 'happy'.

  • I'll be looking for the new vid! :) One of these days I'll have to post a video of Pippin, as soon as I can get something cute.

  • Aw, he's a cutie! Is he molting in the video? I tried showing Tookie to my female lutino IRN Pippin, but she was more interested in my daughter's sandwich. ;) I love IRN's high little voices!

  • No he unfortunately isn't molting. He has for the past 4 years picked at his feathers on and off.... I think I am going to have to get a cone for around his head or something.

  • Awww. Well, he still has pretty feathering around his head and he looks really healthy. Weird how some birds do that. I can tell you take good care of him and spend a lot of time with him, for him to talk so well. :)

  • yeah I can't think of my life without him in it. He is my little baby. Got him on my honeymoon. Going to post another vid of him today.

    Thanx for your comments

  • lutinos <3<3<3

  • soooooooooooo prettyyy
