  • Amazing what you can find on Youtube now-a day! This looks like a ECW match or something- but it's from 1980!

  • A good show by both guys here, both undoubtedly legends in their own ways. Harley Race didn't have much of an athletic physique, he just looked like a guy who'd beat you up. Thanks for uploading these gems!

  • Mil Mascaras better be in WWE '13

  • this is not mil mascaras...mil was taller and built differently...even his mannerisms and moves are not consistant with mil...this is a guy wearing mils mask

  • FUAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ea mil mascaras puro poder

  • mil mascaras is shit

  • @fogodssake Agree. Most wrestlers hated this no selling prima donna POS.

  • mil mascaras is without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers to ever live

  • WWE : We need a 3 disc DVD set about the life and career of Harley Race !!! He's the greatest of all time and before it's too late, before mr. Race passes away, we need to have a bio about his life and career !!! Do it !!! Come on !!!!

  • Would be interesting to see Mil Mascaras take on Jumbo Tsurta

  • The outside of the ring where they finished the match seems to have more padding than the inside of the ring.

    What amazing luck!

  • @highnrising Inside the right has a little padding but the way it gives cushions your fall more than mats on a hard concrete ground with no give. That's why there is more outside.

  • I would have loved to see a match between Mil Mascaras and the Undertaker...except everyone would know the finish before it ever took place: TIME LIMIT DRAW WITH EACH WRESTLER SELLING 5 MOVES EACH.

  • It would have been interesting if Harley Race had applied Indian Deathlock

  • are you crazy harley race is more beter than mil mascara

  • @BORICUA360 no ure crazy mil mascaras mas way better than harley race lets see harley race wrestle like mill mascaras and make 1000 masks

  • @BORICUA360 hahaha, you are so funny... what?... is that a joke?

  • @BORICUA360 what are you talking about?; did you see the match?

mil mascaras would have won the match if the referee would have seen the foults wich harley committed

  • @efebes you do know the match is predetermined right? You know Harley and Mil were backstage drinking saki together 5 minutes after this match ended?

  • Did Mil Mascaras ever wrestle Andre The Giant

  • @styx4ever1963 No because Andre was way too heavy back then you fight someone close or the same to your weight. But his rival Canek did Andre got arm whipped and slamed;

  • @ECWExtremeMoments yes Mil and Andre filled arenas all over the southwest- Andre won all of them- you fools are talking on here like you think this shit is real. With a name like ECW you should be smarter than that.

  • Funny the table part were Harley bounces it off his head! I thought for sure Mil had advantage with table but Harley outsmarted him!

  • Did Mil Mascaras ever get pinned during his career???

  • From such diverse styles and backgrounds and origins, yet two wrestlers who loved to use varieties of suplexes. Did Flair ever wrestle Mascaras? By the way, can you really be a Flair and a Bruno Sammartino fan?

  • Sure, why not. Flair and Bruno had different styles, but they were both entertaining. I liked Brody and Terry Funk

but also liked Jack Brisco. It's all about putting on a good show, and making sure the people get their moneys worth.

  • Very good point. Sure, why couldn't you like anyone who entertained you? It's good to keep an open mind.

  • You are right to a certain extent, but you did not really answer my question; the Red Sox and Yankees may put on a good show, but very few people would say they are fans of both teams.

Since Flair has dissed Bruno so much over the years, I do not think you can really be a fan of both.

  • Good point , I was unclear. Let's say I enjoy watching both men because of their skill in the ring and their ability to entertain. If were to see a match and get all marked up (and is there any other way) I would cheer for Bruno, but buy the ticket to see Flare and Bruno. And must we bring up the Red Socks, I'm a Cards fan.

    Does that make sence?

  • @RPenta I'm a wrestling fan of 33 years and am a fan of both Flair and Bruno. Don't like the bad blood between them but like both guys still.

  • Harley Race is a bump machine and a pro wrestling god!

  • he was proclaimed a wrestling god in japan.

  • A clasic match between two great leyends

  • wow im 23 and the way wrestling is today it can even compare to when wrestling was like this .great fucking match (oh and the suicide dive at 6:08 epic)

  • If you like this, check out Dory Funk jr. vs. Horst Hoffman,Nick Bockwinkel vs. Jumbo Tsuruta or bst yet, Ric Flair vs. Rick Martel title unification match. All from Japan and all 3 are classics.

  • I love those falling headbutts Race would do. His hands would shoot up in the air and you knew what was next.

  • Mil Mascaras was a huge influence on alot of current luchadors including Rey and Ultimo Dragon. He wouldve carried the NWA or AWA title well. Race is in my top ten of all time, this is a classic match and thanks to whoever posted it

  • To see that fatass Harley Race keep the belt & kept the belt for many years is sickening. He must've owned part of the NWA or new someone on the inside for that beer-guzzling-looking bear to keep the belt. Mil Mascaras was a champion w/o a belt year after year.

  • race was on of thegreats he held the bely for so long be he could put butts in the seats ,and he got over ,as a good guy or aa bad guy ,to say what u said is just dumb

  • You're right. I totally stand corrected for talking smack about Harley. I remember seeing him champ for years as a kid but I always wanted Mil to be a champ. The NWA always had technique-based wrestlers with flair: Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Tommy Rich & so on. His burly frame with good mobility did make him a good champ. I guess what's most sickening to me now is how WWE makes these little twerps: Jeff Hardy, Rey Misterio; etc. Heavyweight champs sometimes. Even for scripted standards, it's lame.

  • Actually Race did own the promotion in Kansas City, and was a partner in the St. Louis promotion toward the end, but walked away from it to work for Vince Jr.

It seems to me like Harley was good at making money but not at keeping it.

As far as Mil, I;ve heard that he was difficult to work with because he didn't want to job and would ohten no sell the other guy. Harley was slow and fat but was dependable and held the respect of the locker room.

  • Yeah, I did read up about Mil not wanting to sell on a lot of matches. I guess even though he looked like a total champ physique-wise, it does make sense to compromise with your stablemates. So yeah, I hear ya.

  • Mick Foley in his book talked about working with Mil Mascaras in 1990 at the Clash of the Champions and wrote he was the most unprofessional guy he ever worked with. He no-sold all of Foley's offense and stiffed him in the ring.

  • mil hated to sell and im sure some wrestlers hated to wrestle him but the hell with all of em...we wanted to see mil on the offense anyway.

  • Mil never wasted time with bs, he's a pure wrestler, as simple as that.

  • i agree with Charly, Mil had everything to win this match, infair end... Mil is one of the best wrestler from mexico and the world.

anywhow, it was a great match...

    thanks for sharing...
