Hard to believe I put this entire show together in 1997 (?). I no longer have the money or stamina to put together complete sentances, let alone a concert that draws 1,000 people. At least it paid off $10,000 in Greasy Carlisi's medical bills. Now I'VE got a $50,000 bail; bond, 2 bad heart valves, and nobody to do for me what I did for Greasy, Joe (Detroit Wheels) Kubert's widow and daughter, and a dozen others. Boy, do I look stupid now!
In the first few seconds, you see Wayne Kramer (MC5) on the left and Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) In the center with Fred Smith's 1960's Epiphone Crestwood with 3 pickups, which Deniz bought from Fred in the mid-70's. A bit later, you see Scott Morgan (The Rationals) wearing a hat and tuning his Telecaster. The next scene is Dennis Thompson on drums and me on guitar before a full house at The State Theater, now known as The Fillmore.
