@mpcruzat07 as in your thumb is not limited to the normal flexibility range that most other people have. that makes it hard to keep your upper picking hand steady because you're voluntarily exercising control over your thumb instead of your tendons automatically doing the work. it also tends to make your picking angle

@Strummify look how bent back his thumb is and also his position of the pick doesn't look right.. hard to tell, but yeah. The correct method, or the most used method is to have your index curved 180 degrees and place the pick on the flat bit and put your thumb on top for better control.

@Strummify I've heard that it helps with speed, but I've also heard it harms your guitar and leaves marks. I'd suggest that you avoid it. Thats a pretty bad habit to get into, if you can stop doing it all together work on your picking technique and you will find better speed that way. Also for picking if you have your own technique and it works without limiting you, stick with it, but if you notice sloppyness I'd suggest learning the most used method.

I've seen a lesson by Joe, and i think he said that he does a pinch harmonic on the open G, and then uses his fret hand to dive the bar and quickly pull back it up. Hope this helped, message me back and tell me if you have any more questions.

find the harmonics, mute a string with your left hand and pick the string, as you moce up you will find the natural harmonics on each string, then its just a matter of lightly touchin the open string aboved a certain fret to make the harmonic squeel then use your trem arm to pitch it! try the b string it can change pitch mroe than any other string try the fret between 16 and 17 its the easiest for me
