He's always looked the way he does in this clip, nothing's changed. Pity back then they couldn't get the microphones right. Did him an injustice. Very rare footage. Love it.
Little Richard's eyes glaze over, he smiles like he's in nirvana, and stares at the audience. Yeah, drugs, but there’s something else. He's stunned at the mostly white middle class audience roaring their appreciation. Europe was relatively free of racism compared to the U.S. in the 50’s and 60’s, and that's why James Baldwin, Miles Davis and other blacks said were attracted to it and went to live there.
@beanie41 With that voice, did he ever put out aa gospel album,i know he did some preaching, at one time, but i never heard him do any gospel song's and with his voice and word pharzing, that would be somthing to hear. so Little Richard get busy and get into a studio, because you still have it.
@beanie41 Hey Beanie, Richard did indeed record a wonderful Gospel album in around 1968,.. maybe on the vee jay label?,...... its a belter, with duets with Brooke Benton
One of his best songs ,and a great performence ,from the undisputed True King of Rock n Roll

Gorgeous man. What talent. He is the King as far as I'm concerned. He knows how to get inside you. The other stuff is his business.
