Wow!! They looked like my Maisto Tailwinds 1/144 scale diecast model but in real size! Excellent vid, maybe old but is 5 stars. Look at that awesome fleet and sounds! makes me wanna have a diecast fleet of Maisto F-104s but they could cost very expensive. I luv planes and F-104 is one of my favorites.
That's superb without the music, just being able to hear that magnificent howl is wonderful! Thank you for capturing this on video for the younger generation to enjoy as we did.

I have a model of the jet seen at frame 4:10! She now resides on a pole outside the KLu museum.
A great video, the sound of these jets was simply amazing, almost unearthly. I was at RAF Wattisham with the F-4J(UK), and the J-79's never sounded quite like this!
I still have this incredible "StarWars" sound in my hears. This was in the 70s over Belgian Ardennes training airspace. You could still hear power changes long time after they had disappeared over the horizon! Tks for the vid!
Zeeeeeer mooi, de KLu 104's helaas niet meer zien vliegen, NET te laat begonnen met spotten... De D-8245 zie je op 't eind voorbij taxiën, deze is tegenwoordig van het MLM.

Because of the Smoke the J79 was called in the Lufftwaffe Luftverteidigungsdiesel roughly translated airdefencediesel, T´hank you for posting.

Dat geluid he. man man man wat is dat toch mooi. Als kleine man in veghel gewoont en met de juiste wind het opstarten horen..=)))
En als ze dan laag overkwamen, aahhhhhhh wat mooi.
Mijn Pa was hoofd Navigatie en heb dus heel wat tijd langs de baan door gebracht.

Veel kisten in de lucht altijd, mooi om te zien.
Tegenwoordig is het allemaal wel anders. Zo slecht leek de koude oorlog niet eens achteraf. :-)

Geweldige film piet, ik zat in 80/81 als chauffeur op Volkel en heb ook veel vliegtuigtrekker gereden.
Ik vond het helemaal prachtig met avonddienst bij de run-up als je die vuurringen boven die uitlaat zag komen.
Is daar geen filmpje van?
