BUT.. after creating my character it says "please wait for download to complete".. and right in the bottom is a bar showing the download progress.. but it stucked at 49.9%.. and hast move in all day.. i close the game and open it again just to find out it doesnt go past 49.9%.. and sometimes it doesnt shows at all... any advice on that?? would really apreciate..

The Eberon setting uses more low level magic, so you see magic lanterns on every street corner for instance. Higher end magic is curtailed.

They also have a race of creatures (a playable race) called WarForged, who are made of wood and metal. Big hulking men with no noses. They sort of stick out as an oddity, as most RPG's are faily close to Tolkien style stories. They don't heal, they repair, and you see skills in your character list for that, which can be confusing.

Well so far I've played this game for a two weeks and have only got around 300 turbine points, compare that to the amount of points subscribers get which is 1000 per month, and most of the ddo store's items are worth 1k-3k turbine points. So this shows this game's just another pay2win mmo with alot of flaws, like no professions, underpowered melee characters, overpowered caster characters in fact most of the time I see mages and healers tanking in parties.

Err, actually nvrmnd about that, I guess there is a horizontal ceiling to the game somewhat, you can only make your char so powerful without paying.

It's like a Pay2play game that's using a Free2play model, very ingenious. Basicly there are no horizontal ceilings (ex. no level limits to free players), everything can be earned through hard work, but there are vertical walls (ex. special areas, features, and game content) you cannot access without paying a subscription.

So it's not technically not fully free2play, but definitely not pay2win either, which is a good thing too.

I highly suggest having friends with this game. Although solo quests are fun, it gets dull after playing alone for long. I'm playing with bunch of my friends and because each class has their own uniqueness its WAY more fun (rogue-traps and doors, clerics-healers etc etc)

isn't it a bit boring because when you leave the town, and you go to the dungeons or outside to the wilderness, you go alone. so if you want to train you never see anyone or talk to anyone infront of you? Does tat change once we become higher levels??

and for PvP? when you kill some1, will he lose items he is wearing or he has in his inventory????

no if you die you will become a spirit like in WoW. and then u can just go to a nearby ressuruction stone in the map so that you dont have to replay everything again(and by the way the community is growing REALLY fast. everyday theres a thousand more. i highly recommend you play. ) P.S. theres no grinding its quests forever (great teamwork adventure quests)

kel464: The wilderness areas are instanced, you are alone, yes. It'd be pretty lame to be in a dark, abandoned, dangerous valley full of players. You can train alone, but this game supports socializing much, the rewards and the fun increasing greatly with more team members. And yes, it does change, as in higher levels, soloing gives slow progress and people team up. PvP is more or less just for fun here.

PW gets VERY repetetive soon in the later levels and gets boring, RoM, i tried to download it but it came out in german so i dunno what the hell is going on, DDO isnt as repetetive and its fun discovering new things and finding treasure or a secret passage so theres plenty of adventure, PW doesnt supply much adventure for others other then elves which can fly
