  • Shit! your awesome XD lol!

  • i luv how whenever any1 plays ddr for the ps2 and gets an a, every1 critisezes them, get a b on a wii song, every1s like OMG YOUR A NINJA!!!!!!

  • BEAST!

  • do u need to hang on to the nunchuk for the game or is it optional, like are there notes on the screen that require the nunchuk or no?

  • @Thesupermasked you can play the mode where you need nunchuck, and either shake left or right, but most people dont bother cus' they learned to play without so u can turn that mode off if you don't like it or if you simply don't own a nunchuck ^_^

  • oh my god taleeenntt i try doing it that fast i fall over my feet LOL

  • your really good :) i will battle yew hehe... awsome moves love the song you chose :D !

  • woaw... after a while... its just not dancing... its just plain silly :D

  • Sweet I A'd this xD

  • will hottest party 3 mats work on this game?

  • @Kad231 If it plugs into the gamecube ports of the wii, then most likely.

  • yer a beast. ots official.

  • hes as good as gaara of the funk!!

  • I've got a question about this game.. I'm thinking about to buy this game.. and I LOVE japanese DDR music.. are there many songs like "love shine" on DDR hottest party in the european version?

  • EDIT: or in the american version (I think the european and the american version are the same)

  • i can do tht on expert 2. its easy once u get the hang of it. I love DDR!

  • I Beat Silver Dream And Got A B

  • HAHA lol i have an A on that song on expert :D but ur nice too man keep practicing and soon un will get an A or probably a AA :D (hopes u get a AA) (:

  • AMAZING!!!

  • Practice practice practice. Don't worry about placing your feet back at the center for now. As a beginner, that is ok. However, when the songs get harder, it starts to become really hard to do. As you start to get the hang of DDR, try to avoid the center. You can do this by starting with your feet on left and right instead of the center. Just lift your feet to hit the notes. Hope that helps!

  • OH MY GOD UR FEET ARE LIKE FLYING!!

  • Nice moves.

I like 'love shine' the most of the songs on ddr

  • your asian right? if you are which chinese or japanese?

  • chinese

  • Playing at the arcade will always win. Ahahaha

  • I don't have any arcades here, and the few DDR machines here are pretty much all broken or not responsive at all. I've never gotten to a third round. xD

  • Ahahaha that must suck so hard. Playing in the arcade is so much more fun. It's like, the soft mats are NOTHING compared to arcade. They have hundreds of songs and stuff as well.

Where I live, all the arcades recently closed down except in the city. I'm willing to make the trek though.

    I might download this game for my Wii though (not gonna waste my money buying it). Although I might just get stepmania and a regular mat. The only trouble I have is finding a USB->PS2 thingo ==;;

  • Yeah, I have stepmania, so song count isn't an issue. This video is about 1.5 years old anyways. I just wish I owned some nice metal pads at home so that I can play everything I want to on metal pads without having the pads glitch up on me.

  • Even the metal pads are nothing compared to arcade pads. Close as you can get I suppose. God I want metal pads.

  • Can someone please explain it to me how it all works? yeah, I know, I'm an alien just landed on earth :)

  • Search for other DDR videos on youtube. It's not your fault. The quality of this video isn't good at all.

  • Hollllyyy crap. Is all i can say lol

How in the world did you get this good?!

  • Lol its all about practicing. I used to say the same when I saw videos like this. Then I bought a pad and started playing on my pc and now I'm able to pass songs like Afronova and Sunkiss Drop (I know they are not that hard, but duh xD). You just need to play a lot to become like this =D

  • Yep, stepmania is your friend. Afronova is also one of my favorites, mostly because of the awesome crossover. I became obsessed after I learned how to do it. I don't think I ever played Sunkiss Drop.

  • I used to be able to get an A, but I have barely played in like a year. :( You could probably beat me easily now. Good job!

  • Weren't you commenting here about a year ago?

I haven't been playing as much as I used to, and I play stepmania now, not DDRHP. It's much better, and it's free, too.

  • Felix i want to see u play DDR and guitar hero at the same time, that would be cool. Nearly 13,000 views, thats pretty good.

  • you're REALLY good!

    :)

  • Woaaaat... Hell its a computer game but sure as hell one you need a good condition for :D and its fun too.

  • i can manage to get an A on this song, the only part i can never get right is from 2:50-2:53

  • How long did it take you to get this good at ddr?

  • I've been playing DDR for about 2.5 years or so. I've lost count.

So I think it took me about 1.2 or 1.3 years to get this video.

  • hey dude that is SO awsome im still on begginer!!!!

  • kk thenks but also do this game have Afronova???

  • Nope. I believe that's from 3rd mix. DDRHP isn't going to have famous songs that everyone's heard of (well, the same version with the same steps, anyways...)

  • do it have captain jack on it an do u have 2 play with the remout 2 ???

  • No, this game does not have captain jack, although I do have that song on stepmania.

No, you do not have to play with the remote. You can turn it off in the options.

  • stop those roaches! xDD ur really good! xDD

  • omgzzz.....i have the same mat, but i know it's gripped to the floor but my feet are alwayz sliding off

  • perhaps play with bare feet? If it's just a matter of always stepping in the wrong places, then just get used to where the arrows are. Don't feel the need to look down constantly, but check every now and then to make sure you're standing in the right place.

  • WOW. just wow. You got talent man. And you're not even using a bar! :O (neither am i though.. ^^)

  • Back when I made this video, I probably didn't even know that you could use bars for DDR. =P

I still don't play with bars, but if I could get a better metal pad for home, then I probably would. I don't have any arcades around here either, so I've only ever used the bar... once...

  • Pinaise !!!! Impressionant ce que tu nous fais là !!

  • HAHA dude your flying WWEEEE

  • lol, it sounds like your tap dancing xD

  • * you're

  • hahaha xD

  • ddr 2

  • is this hottest party 1 or 2?

  • Well, considering this video is over a year old, I would have to say this is the first.

  • Re: LOZfan101

    Was there a 2 then? :o

  • haha, yes, there is

  • its nice to see someone actually play the DDRHP the way its supposed to be played, via the mat, instead of most people cheating their way through by using the controller, nice job!

  • I think that's questionable. DDR is meant to be played like in this video, but I think DDRHP is meant to be played with the hand markers as well. I prefer without the hands though, because I'm a DDR fan as opposed to a DDRHP fan.

PS: I'm a Nadal fan too! As well as a lefty tennis player! :D

  • how can ur dance pad not move around? mine does which causes me to fall, -.-

  • I think it has to do with the floor that the mat is placed on. It moves a lot in my basement. I just counter that by putting something on the corner of the mats to hold it down. It's not the best solution though...

  • Feet blurs.

    That was epic.

But the song is really short. :( I wish it were longer.

    5/5

  • actually, I think this song is about the normal length of a typical DDR song. Maybe a bit on the short side, but I wouldn't say really short. Thanks for the positive comment!

  • o ok thanks but that sucks bout the song cause i hav seen other people on here playin it but w/e thanks for the help and look forward to c u conquering other songs haha jkjk

  • wow that was impressive! i thought i was good but compared to u i got no chance ahah! :P wat i always hav trouble with is keeping my feet on the pad cause i get too intense with the game haha but that was pretty awesome. j/w can u do super samura??!!! cause i think that song is impossible even on difficult

  • at the time of the video, which was a year ago, I could not pass super samurai at all. I haven't tried recently, but it sounds like a good idea possibly for a future video. I'll see if I can get it hopefully tomorrow. If not, it may take a while. But honestly, I don't think I can do it unless I find something to use as a replacement for bars that you find on arcade pads. I normally don't use those, but I'll probably have to for that song.

  • ya good luck with that but do u no where to buy the metal mats like at the arcades???? also how do u get the japanese song or w/e

  • Japanese songs are only in the japanese version of this game.

You can find good quality pads at ddrgame (dot) com. On the left bar of products, everything from the champion pad up is a metal pad or some sort of variation for mostly all systems. I'm not sure if you can get two pads that are joined together here, but this is probably close enough.

  • Actually, I do them the hard way. :P

  • It's alright. I used to double step them as well (at the time, I didn't even know what crossovers were...). I suggest figuring out what different kinds of crossovers can be found. I'm most used to the 42624 and 48684 patterns, if you take a look on the num pad. Anything else or confusing combinations may make me stumble. Try finding easy songs that include them, play them over and over and try to use crossovers every time. Basically, just practice :D

  • Well, I tried, but still can't do it.

I'm happy I can get an A without doing them anyways. :P

  • yes, that's quite impressive!

I'm thinking of posting a new video of this. I haven't really played this at all, really, but I thought it'd be cool to post a retry of this song one year later. I'm hoping to maybe get a AA on video, maybe. I haven't used the wii pads in so long.

  • ohh, do u use the arcade pads now?

  • I wish I did (but I admit that I did try), but right now I'm using pads that have arcade size sensors and supposedly a non-slip underside, which seems to work on certain surfaces. Basically, I'll just have to get used to the slightly smaller sensors. Shouldn't be much of a problem though.

  • ohh, okay. good luck :P

  • Nice, job. This used to be a really hard song for me on expert, but I can get an A now. :P

I still can't do crossovers. You did them pretty good. :D

  • 0.0 amazingg!! how do you get the mat to stick to the floor? everytime i play fast songs they slide across the floor and i end up tripping lol -.-'

  • well, I'm actually not sure myself. At first I thought the wii mats were just really good, but I've been playing other DDR games in my basement, and all my mats slide like crazy. So I assume in this video it's the floor that makes the difference, as strange as that sounds. For now, I just use something heavy and place it on the corners of the mat. You just have to make sure you don't hurt yourself stepping on it.

  • i hope i can get as good as you one day oh and do you have hottest party 2??

  • no, I don't have HP2. I'm sticking with Stepmania since you can just download whatever songs you want, including other people's. Much more convenient. It's free too.

Good luck with your own DDR. Practice is mostly all there is to it!

  • How do u know when ur on the mat? when im playing i usualy get off the matt +P [replay to this

  • honestly, I don't. I try whenever there are breaks in the stepchart to look down and reposition myself, but while there are long streams, I don't know whether I'm on the mat or not. But if I realize I'm missing a ton of arrows, I'll look down even while there are lots of arrows flying by. But after you play a bit you'll start to get the hang of it. Good luck!

  • WOOT octopus legs i can do this song like up to 3/4 of it and then my legs start to goo numb so i cant do it anymore..:(

  • that happens to me for very tough songs. By the end, I just collapse and don't do anything but breath for 3 minutes. :P

Haha, octopus legs. I like that :D

  • its pretty cool because your feet are in time to the music

  • yeah, I always liked that too. But you don't exactly notice while you're playing the song...

  • daaaammmnnnn you are skilled. O.O

  • not really, but I'll accept that. :P

  • You're awesome!! I can't even survive this. It takes practice! So far, the only 9-Footer I've gotten an A on is Call on Me. :D

  • At the time of the video, I played DDR seriously for about a year. Now, I've played for almost 2 years, though not too much recently, and songs like this are pretty easy. :P

  • You call that "easy"? Lol.

  • Ok, not easy. Maybe moderately easy or moderate...

  • Heh heh. Well at least you don't use the GC Controller. People think they're so good when they just take the easy way out. It doesn't require AS much skill. >_>

  • don't be so sure of that. Some people, including me, play keyboard versions of DDR, similar to the GC controller. For a great example, search "almost-quad genocide" on youtube. There should be only one video from MrRubix101 playing stepmania. One of the best players. Check it out. Actual thing starts about one minute into the video.

  • I never said it doesn't require skill. I'm just saying that as far as I'm concerned, it defeats the purpose if you use the GC Controller but what do I know.

  • that's true. for games like this, GC controllers to make it pointless (except for unlocking songs like tokyoEVOLVED, which I'm still too lazy to do). But still, this game was also meant for using hand markers, which I turned off since it wasn't typical ddr. We all have preferences...

  • Heh heh, well said. ;)

So... you getting Hottest Party 2? I'm so stoked!

  • there's such a thing?? Ugh, probably not. I remember when I was so psyched up for this game, but I don't think I want another one.

I'm into stepmania now. It's for the PC, but you can download all the songs you want, and even real steps from real songs. Sounds kind of lame, but when you hook it onto a tv, it's amazing. Better than most DDR games. There is no difference from the arcades except that it's free, and possibly the kind of pads you use

  • MAD HOPS, litterally

  • Agreed. Great transitions.

  • I cant even do this on Basic!

  • you are a monster !!!!!!! congratulations

  • My best friend got a C lol

  • wait, i have that game, but i don't have love shine on it!!! how do u get it????

  • play through the venue thing. I forgot what it's called. It should be the first option on the main menu. It's one of the last songs you get.

  • 2 minutes into the video, listen carefully. You will hear me breathing pretty hard. Then I realize I'm making a video, so I try my best not the breath too hard. :P

I'm getting better though, so I don't get this tired this easily.

  • holy shit! nice:)

  • at the time of this video, 13. I turned 14 on Feb. 8th.

  • i find it easier on arcade type mats, with the bar, but i guess that's kinda cheating :P

  • no, it's not cheating. I tried to get one, but they're pretty expensive, you know? But yes, MUCH easier.

  • if you can do difficult well, then go ahead and try expert. If you try just a few times, even if it seems impossible or you get really tired at the end, just once a day and you'll get it pretty quickly. That's how I get better.

  • woow ! good job !

  • thanks

  • I badly want this =o

to bad its NTSC or something like that lol.

    damn european PAL wii's :'D

  • this is the best song on that game. i can only do it on basic but it's super fun! i just love it. you're beyond amazing. maybe one day i'll be able to do that.

  • hehe, it's all about having fun and enjoying yourself. That will make it so much easier to improve and play at my level.

  • Pssh, no it's not. XD

    But yeah, great job.

  • If you don't enjoy the game, it will be very tough to get better at it...

  • If that was directed at me, you misinterpreted my comment. DDRHP is AWESOME! I love it! If I could recommend it on the Nintendo Channel, it'd be at full on the Bar! I just don't think LOVE SHINE is the best song on the OST/Song List, that's all. :P

  • ah, sorry

  • How come nobody uses the hands? It's more fun and challenging to me.

  • I'm sure people do. But some people (myself included) just prefer DDR without the hands, like it has been until this game came out.

  • Psst Im 8 years old and im on difficlt dude

  • Sorry Im 9 -_-

  • holy cap felix ur so good!

  • hehe, and that was more than half a year ago. Imagine now...

Hopefully I'll get some videos soon for DDR. I'm expecting sometime in the beginning of August.

  • holy shit..

it took me forever to unlock this on BASIC!

YOU'RE A BEAST.. geez. My feet will never move that fast if i tried.

  • practice

  • Wow I just unlocked that song today (got the game day b4 yesterday)- it'll take me 4ever to get that good!!!

  • practice

  • lol

  • o um srry didnt know

  • lol, I was just joking around. No need to say sorry.

  • nah im kiddin you got some good skills

  • haha, thanks. But yes, I'm a nerd... :P

  • NERD!

  • haha thanks but there is a ranking of an AAAAAA on the stepmania i play and it's preety much impossible for me to getO_O but you can try if you like it's really hard though=) and thanks for the happy b-dayxD

  • How would you get that? I thought the best was all Marvelous, which is the best possible score. And that's a AAAA. Where'd the AAAAAA come from?

  • Happy birthday! Haha, it'd be cool if your b-day was today, on the 4th of July. I never have an opportunity to play on metal pads, since there's nowhere around that has arcades with DDR. I also play stepmania, but is there really such thing as an AAAAAA? Never heard of it... hope it was a joke, otherwise I'd go crazy trying to get one. :P

  • i hope sooxD i hope to be good as yousomeday xD my b-day's towmorrow and im going playdium so i can practice there on supernove 1,2 and in the groove=) nice job still if there were higher ranking i would give it AAAAAA lol it's from stepmania xD

  • A B!?!? I would give that a triple A! very nice =) i can play this song diffcult but not expert it's kinda hard but other songs i can do on expert trying to do this oneO_oxD well very nice job done excellently=) keep it up!!

  • I'd give it a AAAA!

Haha, but seriously, it could've been much better. Keep practicing and I'm sure it'll get better!

  • Great job!

I'm starting to get pretty decent at the 3rd difficulty setting, but i think i'll never do any good at expert.

  • That's probably what most people think. I know I did when I first started.

  • wow

  • how much is the controller port mod, please?

  • I'm sorry, I don't know what that is...

  • thats okkk:)

  • LOL you're so fast - - - how good d'you have to be to earn more songs? i've...got none ^^"

  • Very, very easy. Even if you're having difficulty, play friendship mode with more people on another pad, or a GC or classic controller. If that's not possible, one player should still be really simple. Just practice. Turn off the hand markers if you don't like them. That's what I did.

  • b4 i go your CRAZY good! props

  • Thanks. It's just practice, that's all.

  • i can get like 80% b4 i get tired and fail

  • how do u get love shine in DDR hottest party

  • Can't remember. Just play through the venue thing once and you should have it. It's not very hard

  • it's ok got it

    now.......

  • ok, that's good

  • Holy crap xD I can only imagine how long it took you to get that good. How much do you play a day?

also, I have those same pants. W00t!

  • How much do I play a day? Meh, maybe 30 minutes every 2 weeks. :P That will probably change when I get some USB mats for stepmania. Then since it'll be Summer Break, I'll play at least 30 minutes a day. :D

  • WTF!! what a talent!!!!!

  • you mean obsession, right? :P

  • Erm....Yes!

  • I see you have Dancing Stage Mario mix?

  • yes

  • ok then

  • the funk?

  • you didnt have to use the hand controllers. How is there a setting you can change or something?

  • yes. But you have to change it every time you start the game.

  • how?
