Just read some comments, there are emo paintballers that like pain are mostly dissing the airsofters. Read the airsofters comments and they are mostly saying why they like airsoft.
An opinion is an opinion. People like PS3 over Xbox, people like football over rugby, people like facebook over myspace...

@D3ARDEN You know that airsoft can be painful too, it depends on what kind of a gun you use. Cheap airsoft guns don't hurt, but expensive ones can really hurt depending on the weight of the bbs you use and the amount of fps the gun has.
In all honestly it depends what your most of your friends do, like if they all do paintball get a paintball gun and go paintball. If they all do airsoft get an airsoft gun and go airsoft. If you don't do what you're friends are into paintball or airsoft the chances are you will quit very soon. But they are both intense and awesome sports! I like them both!
I play both, but I tend to lean towards paintball. Airsoft is cool, but people cheat too much in airsoft. Airsoft is a lot cheaper option, but it says a lot that paintball has a much bigger community with the expense of paint and equipment.
This video is actually extremely bias xD... You have hardcore players for the airsoft portion, and you have rec ball and weekend players for paintball, I dont know how you can call this unbias.. there are 3 differn't types of paintball, and if you want to make a relivent video you should do the research. Woodsball is exactly like airsoft. And my gun looks nothing like the shitty gun's you posted for paintball xD Bt combats is the equvilent of a walmart jobby airsoft gun.

@beastlypenguin234 people in paintball aren't honest either, but it is much harder to cheat in paintball than airsoft.. i played airsoft with my friends and i saw my friends get hit and i hit the enemy and they didnt get out as in paintball the refs can tell if you are out and it is hard to get the paint off fast enough before refs notice..

I don't know if airsoft is "more serious" and has "better use of tactics". It just depends on where you play. I've been to airsoft games where everybody just runs around and does what they want and paintball games that are very tactical with a chain of command. AND VICE VERSA They're pretty much the same damn thing with different toys. lol I've played both and like them both. Both are great, everyone has different opinions. Paintball and airsoft are like BF3 and MW3. One is a run and gun, and one is strategic warfare. Both are fun.

I played paintball for 2 years, but now I am finally realising that I prefer airsoft (after trying it) because I prefer a more military/realism feel and I like the use of tactics. Makes the game funner IMO.
Its all about opinion people... they both appeal to different people.

After reading a shit-load of comments, I came to the conclusion that Airsoft players are just looking for a realistic but fun experience and paintball players are masochists who enjoy their sport for it's ultra-viril pain that they get when they are shot except for some people who have common-sense
Hey good for you man. You actually did make a pretty fair comparison in the realism between them. I play both, but prefer paintball for the adrenaline, but love the scenario aspect of airsoft. I hate the prices just to play paintball, but hate the guys who treat airsoft like LARPing. (especially when it's some CoD kid telling me, a member of the armed forces, how to fight XD)

@alexwais2121 i am un-biased, both are fun, but a high quality airsoft has more potential for pain. paintballs only hurt if they dont explode, no matter how hard you get hit by um, the airsoft guns i am used to will make you bleed, and will speckle you with blood blisters through a t-shirt and jacket from 150 feet away. it's a misconception that the tiny plastic bb's wont hurt as bad as the larger paintballs, when in fact, it's the opposite.
@alexwais2121 I actually saw a video like that. The airsofters won, but it really doesn't matter because it was only 2 on 2, and it really depended on the individual's skill, not weather airsoft/paintball is better or not :)
@alexwais2121 A hits a hit, pain tolerance matches are just side shows for junkies. In a match PB vs AS: range, ammo capacity, accuracy and ROF are the hardware factors. Not stopping power. as long as you feel it, that's all that's required for pain. Oh and there are some painful ASG's, 500fps with metal bb's. And For what it's worth, I'd guess that most airsofters (all the ones I know) come from paintball backgrounds anyways.

@pikachewhiest - Yeah, but they only come in two types: Powder and 6mm paintball (Which is just like a regular paintball only much smaller.) The powder ones have a tendency to cause basic gun malfunctions like jamming and misfeeds, while the 6 mil paintballs can burst inside your gun, causing more permanent damage. I say, if they don't call it, just keep shooting until it hurts them enough.
@jahdievoerwerk - Yeah but they can break easily in your airsoft gun, causing permanent damage, which is very bad when you have a high-end AEG like I do. I just keep shooting them until they call the hit because of the pain.
I have played both Airsoft and Paintball. I've been really into airsoft but got tired of people cheating cuz they are like "I didn't feel it" or "prove you hit me" I've also had people flip out when hit them from 10 ft away with paintball and the guy flipped out and if there wasn't a large stump inbetween me and him he would have charged me. I prefer PB cuz it marks people and you know and they know they are out. Can't beat that besides price. In airsoft just shoot them alot even if they get mad
At my local paintball places they put you 40 meters apart and just let you unleash in a team death match, this is an attempt to sell you more paintballs.
At my local airsoft games they actually have team based objectives and you have quite a distance between each other.

While I enjoy paintball and love playing in PSP tourneys, I love how authentic airsoft guns can look and feel (besides the orange tip) while paintball guns, even if you have a gun like the alpha black tactical or the delta elite, you still have the hopper and air tank to go on the guns. Both are loads of fun and all based on preference for which you prefer to play
@Ps3robzombie31 airsoft guns are not made cheap, the gun i have was $200 and full metal, i have had it for two years, gon through wet and dry and it works fine

i did a test with a tiberius t9.1 elite paintball gun 280fps and a cybergun airsoft sniper 450fps. With both, if u were to shot at a nerf gun it would be ripped to pieces.
I like both but I prefer airsoft because there is no mess, the size of the paintballs can give your position away, you have to have that huge ammo bucket thing attached to your gun, you have to refill your gas, and airsoft is less painful (i don't know why people say its for pussies, why would you want to get hurt?) and most of the time airsoft is cheaper.

paintball>airsoft>nerf> my opinion they all have advantages and disadvantages paintball is faster paced because you can fire more ammo without reloading but lacks realistic weapons(which i dont mind much at all) airsoft uses realistic guns but is a slower paced more of a tactical game nerf lacks realistic guns but can be played indoors and is hard to get hurt by them(unless you're a modder like me)
@N1NJ4F15H You are an idiot. There are 4 different types of mags in airsoft. M4: 30 Round Standard Mag, 70-150 round Midcaps 190-450 round hi caps, and 5000 round drum mags. Also, airsoft is more realistic, but I'm sure paintball is fun too (I never played it but it seems fun) but i play for realism. Would you rather get Shot by a Paint ball or an airsoft grenade? Also some airsoft grenades can use paintballs in them. I play for realism though.

@N1NJ4F15H 100 rounds isnt alot. I own airsoft guns but you are probably using a midcap for your MP5. Those you have to load individually (or speedlader) But hi-caps for mp5s can range from 200+ which you can just drop bbs into the port hole and wind and its done or you get an auto electric winding mag.I have 6 mags for my m4 and m16 (total) 1 midcap (130 round) and 5 hi caps (4 300 rounds and 1 450 round). But we have full auto so airsoft tends to use more ammunition
@N1NJ4F15H 100 rounds for a sniper may last you a game or two but snipers can hold 5-30+ rounds per mag when you can just buy more. I'd rather get shot by 1 paintball than 1 airsoft grenade launcher. Do you want 90+ bbs flying at you at once leaving welts every hit? or 1 bruise by a paintball? Airsoft also has more range so it is more realistic.

@xoxososo22 I beg to differ. I have played paintball for 10 years of my life. I got into airsoft one year ago, and I have all my own equipment now, and I cannot get enough of it. Paintball was fun, but not something with the entertainment value and longevity of airsoft.
i play both and they are both extremely fun but in all honesty paintball is a faster paced game than airsoft and that is not for everyone. And airsoft is a more realistic game. both have there benefits and downfalls.

the better is about where you live if you live close to paintball stations then go paintball but if your city is more like airsoft then go airsoft..

It all depends on who you play with and how you play. I like both, I just HATE shooting someone over and over and they don't call themselves out. I also don't like how much wind affects the BB. so i use super heavy.

@alexwais2121 i am un-biased, both are fun, but a high quality airsoft has more potential for pain. paintballs only hurt if they dont explode, no matter how hard you get hit by um, the airsoft guns i am used to will make you bleed, and will speckle you with blood blisters through a t-shirt and jacket from 150 feet away. it's a misconception that the tiny plastic bb's wont hurt as bad as the larger paintballs, when in fact, it's the opposite.

@alexwais2121 A hits a hit, pain tolerance matches are just side shows for junkies. In a match PB vs AS: range, ammo capacity, accuracy and ROF are the hardware factors. Not stopping power. as long as you feel it, that's all that's required for pain. Oh and there are some painful ASG's, 500fps with metal bb's. And For what it's worth, I'd guess that most airsofters (all the ones I know) come from paintball backgrounds anyways.

@pikachewhiest - Yeah, but they only come in two types: Powder and 6mm paintball (Which is just like a regular paintball only much smaller.) The powder ones have a tendency to cause basic gun malfunctions like jamming and misfeeds, while the 6 mil paintballs can burst inside your gun, causing more permanent damage. I say, if they don't call it, just keep shooting until it hurts them enough.

I have played both Airsoft and Paintball. I've been really into airsoft but got tired of people cheating cuz they are like "I didn't feel it" or "prove you hit me" I've also had people flip out when hit them from 10 ft away with paintball and the guy flipped out and if there wasn't a large stump inbetween me and him he would have charged me. I prefer PB cuz it marks people and you know and they know they are out. Can't beat that besides price. In airsoft just shoot them alot even if they get mad

At my local paintball places they put you 40 meters apart and just let you unleash in a team death match, this is an attempt to sell you more paintballs.
At my local airsoft games they actually have team based objectives and you have quite a distance between each other.

While I enjoy paintball and love playing in PSP tourneys, I love how authentic airsoft guns can look and feel (besides the orange tip) while paintball guns, even if you have a gun like the alpha black tactical or the delta elite, you still have the hopper and air tank to go on the guns. Both are loads of fun and all based on preference for which you prefer to play

i did a test with a tiberius t9.1 elite paintball gun 280fps and a cybergun airsoft sniper 450fps. With both, if u were to shot at a nerf gun it would be ripped to pieces.

I like both but I prefer airsoft because there is no mess, the size of the paintballs can give your position away, you have to have that huge ammo bucket thing attached to your gun, you have to refill your gas, and airsoft is less painful (i don't know why people say its for pussies, why would you want to get hurt?) and most of the time airsoft is cheaper.

paintball>airsoft>nerf> my opinion they all have advantages and disadvantages paintball is faster paced because you can fire more ammo without reloading but lacks realistic weapons(which i dont mind much at all) airsoft uses realistic guns but is a slower paced more of a tactical game nerf lacks realistic guns but can be played indoors and is hard to get hurt by them(unless you're a modder like me)

@N1NJ4F15H You are an idiot. There are 4 different types of mags in airsoft. M4: 30 Round Standard Mag, 70-150 round Midcaps 190-450 round hi caps, and 5000 round drum mags. Also, airsoft is more realistic, but I'm sure paintball is fun too (I never played it but it seems fun) but i play for realism. Would you rather get Shot by a Paint ball or an airsoft grenade? Also some airsoft grenades can use paintballs in them. I play for realism though.

@N1NJ4F15H 100 rounds isnt alot. I own airsoft guns but you are probably using a midcap for your MP5. Those you have to load individually (or speedlader) But hi-caps for mp5s can range from 200+ which you can just drop bbs into the port hole and wind and its done or you get an auto electric winding mag.I have 6 mags for my m4 and m16 (total) 1 midcap (130 round) and 5 hi caps (4 300 rounds and 1 450 round). But we have full auto so airsoft tends to use more ammunition

Do you want 90+ bbs flying at you at once leaving welts every hit? or 1 bruise by a paintball? Airsoft also has more range so it is more realistic.
