  • Don't forget to thank Don Gibson too as you listen to this song. She would not have ever made it so popular without don writing it first.

  • Tears flow listening to this - every single time I hear Patsy singing this. No one matches it,

    no one is even close.

  • The Departed brought me here

  • is4boys715 your mom died young i know you miss her i was born in 52 and i will be sixty next week i feel remorse for you

  • Patsy was my Mom's favorite singer. Growing up we always sang her songs together. My Mom passed away 2 days after Christmas 2007. I sang this at her funeral. We weren't able to sing together but I was able to sing one last time for her. I miss her so much. Love you Mom. 4/3/57 ~ 12/27/07

  • Willie's magic. Patsy's delivery. The angels wept.

  • Ah this is awesome.

  • Simply beautiful.

  • wow what a voice .we lose the best :(

  • amazing

  • Ethereal, Romantically emotional, emotionally evocative; Patsy's is timelessness that stirs hearts of yesterday, today and tommorrow.

  • why did she leave us too soon

  • This song is from me to my boyfriend

  • her voice is so beautiful. crystal gayle reminds me of her as far as a living country singer.

  • Patsy is still missed after all of these years.

  • Although I'm a classical music lover, I still enjoy music such as Patsy Cline and that very astute and fancy orchestra, especially when the wind section play that beautiful spiraling note near the end, it just take my feelings and mind to another world.

  • Absolutely the GREATEST female singer in C+W history.Perhaps even the greatest singer,Period. !!! None of Patsy's songs (read carefully: none ) have ever been improved by any other artist (my opinion ) and yet, she has IMPROVED so so many others done by her contemporaries. It is pretty much a GIVEN that there will NEVER be another voice as soaring and with so much heartrending human pathos. I have loved this woman for 'oh so many confortable' decades, and this will NEVER change. Brad Savage --

  • WHAT A WONDERFUL VOICE NEVER TO BE AGAIN SO PURE & SO CLEAR,NOT LIKE TODAYS SO CALLED VOCALISTS

  • Three fantastic female voices...ELLA :PATSY : KAREN. My opinion only,of course....

  • total class,,,no one can match her or even come close,,,,she has been trully missed

  • I love that Patsy's voice was so dynamic without the aid of studio enhancements like artists today. Her and Roy Orbison, to me, were by far the best vocalists I have ever heard.

  • buena rola, verdad brother LUIS PALACIOS, en perfectomomento de llamada , solo tu sabes x que

  • R.I.P. GRANDMA KAY 10-22-2011 I will miss you forever! patsy will play all night tonight! your grangson, Keigger

  • as a musician, ive always felt that singers needed to play an instrument to "earn their keep" , but a select few have voices like this, and of course, they get a pass as that kind of voice is an instrument all its own......

  • debby kelley patsys 6 cousin does a wunderfull job at remaking patsys songs,

  • Stars don't fall from the sky!

  • this track is superb ; it has been part of the Départed soundtrack of Martin Scorsese film

    Absolutely superb !

  • I try to sing this, I'm not to bad! She was brilliant there's so much emotion in her voice when she sings this makes you wonder if she's thinking of her two timing husband!

  • i bet you sound like a frog singing this song compared to ms. cline .....u dog.

  • Is there any need for comments like that!

  • Patsy Cline was the best that ever was...no-one today (or ever) even 'remotely' approaches her talent. She lived and sang in a great era, and a great time in America. Long Live the 'true' queen of country music. Brad Savage-- Lifelong fan.

  • wow!! vocals :D

  • " I can listen to Patsy sing this every day of my life!"

  • "Sweet Dreams" and memories of my youth at Grandmas listening to the am radio...and then to have the story of this song revisit my life...of lost love...all so bittersweet.I will always occasionally have time with Patsy...just to recall and shed a tear...kind of recenter I guess.

  • best of the best old time reminds me of my mum god rest her from her daughter.maggie

  • No one ever has or ever will come anywhere as near to perfection as Patsy ! I could listen to her all day. What a talent...what a waste so young! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • One of the best singing voices of so many generations....I often wonder if she didn't get into that plane what wonderful songs she may have recorded...such a loss.....

  • I know this feeling about M.....s.

  • My grandfather and her were good friends. amazing voice. really sad she died so young like many talented singers.

  • Unbelievable voice, and this was her best. Lost far too young.

  • My Mother went to school with Patsy for a short time. They were aqaintted, only. Mother said ,"patsy was very kind and sweet.

  • I love this song. It was a song that gave a nickname , to someone I love. I called them sweet , because of this, song. Thank you for posting this. There will NEVER be another Patsy!

  • She was the best!

  • My personal favorite of Patsy's songs. I don't thing anyone could ever do this song better.

  • meade skelton could.

  • Amazing voice no one compares may she rest in peace wish I could have met her.

  • That voice...shivers each and every time I hear it. Love it.

  • I'm a metal head BUT she has my heart

  • ....that is what I call a compliment of gold....

  • message a cent pour cent : patsy cline est réellement une personne représentante de delphine henri .

  • great singer who i put just alittle behind

timi yuro if people look her songs up you

    will not be dissapionted

  • patsy had to die....diana ross was waiting in the 'wings'

  • Beautiful, classy, God given talent.

  • i just love patsy!!! all of her songs are just so wonderful and mean something!!!

  • Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter, the 2 greatest singers ever!!!

  • Im totally agree with you...its only a feelings matter....nobody like them.

  • Yeah ok.... Alot have said but no luck..

  • Ive never heard a voice so pure, unaffected, yet so powerful and emotive as Patsy's. When she died, she took her music to heaven, but we have it here on earth on records. Oh why did she have to get on that plane !?

  • Perhaps the greatest female vocalist of all time.

  • No perhaps...she was...

  • Dream Duet- Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison!

  • so so true! with a david lynch directed video, lush...

  • She is so talented!!! Why was her fate so tragic?! It is a thousand pities!!!!

  • Best female vocalist ever. I wish she had time to explore other genres...it wasn't meant to be.

  • by far the greatest voice ever heard.

  • I agree 100% with the description. "Unmatched"

  • i love this song its my fav song by her

  • her voice "soars" with emotion here..!

  • this is pure "white" blues. she sounds like she is bleeding when she sings. what an original!

  • she most probably was bleeding that rat of a husband of hers used to beat the crap out of her it,s to late when she died though

  • What an angel!! :)

  • im a duran duran fan, but every time i hear this it makes us all realise modern music isnt a patch on this, her vocals have no computers ect and are truly fabulous, rip patsy

  • Did this woman ever record a song that wasn't a crossover hit?

  • i believe all her songs charted on pop and country...!

  • My dad liked her and i'm going to favorite this vid and if any of you troll faggots don't like it you can kiss my fucking ass

  • My dad liked her too, and her music is very special to me. My dad and I have not spoken for 9 years now, and it makes me sad.

  • globalqi, you sound like a chip off the old block, no harm intended. If you want a relationship again, I would start with sending him Patsy Cline music.

  • makes me sad to make me hear that

  • I'm preparing for an audition, for one of the theaters in Branson, MI. I choose this song as one of the two, that and 9 to 5, by Dolly Parton. Wish me luck.

  • Good Luck, I hope ya get it

  • Thanks, I do have a good feeling that I will do well and take it by the horns. I f you know what I mean.

  • Well, I think the main thing is not to accept "no" for an answer. Go to the audition and give it all you got or "take it by the horns" but if things dont go the way you planned, then go at it again, and again, and again. And keep going until you make it. Accept constructive criticism and master whatever flaw you may have. Im not a big believer in the whole "You only get one shot" theory. If thats what you want to do with your life, then get there by any means.....

  • Its a blessing to have a passion for something. So Practice, practice, practice, and when you are tired. THEN PRACTICE SOME MORE. Do it until it becomes second nature and natural, like breathing or walking. If its your dream, the let no one tell you that you arent cut out for it, or your not good enough. Practice as though your aiming perfection. And when its time to perform then rise to the occasion. I know you can, there's a champion in all of us.

  • moew!

  • I don't know if she's the best ever. I don't know that I've heard better, though. Strong, no weaknesses. If she played basketball, she'd be Michael Jordan. Certainly no one today to compare to her. That's for sure.

  • Patsy was taken from us way too early.....I'm just happy that she was able to share her gift with us while she was here. RIP!

  • This is one of my favorite songs by Patsy Cline, or anyone really. She will always have one of the very best singing voices, ever.

I really don't like country music much, but this is one of the exceptions.

  • See, why do you even have to say you dont like Country Music. Cant you accept that you like at least some Country? Why do people always HAVE to say this when they find a Country song they like? Its really ANNOYING. C'mon, Country has tons of great Artists. Patsy is one of the greats.

  • Does anyone have get it over by Patsy???? I would love for someone to put it on youtube....Wado

  • It's called "If you've got leavin' on your mind." Search it...its here.

  • gives me the chills

  • best female singe ever

  • This song is so beautiful! It almost hurts...

  • I grew up singing Patsy, she is my idol. This is the sweetest song ever. I love to sing it boldly with no mistakes. She is truely an inspiration. Patsy is my musical ikon, and still to this day, gives me the ambition to sing my heart out to all, any chance I get.

  • stop arguing and swearing and just listen to the sweet music.

  • this song brings a tear to my eye.

  • This song has nothing to do with race you smut!

  • I'd love to be a country music star and sing all those old ballads. I would have married Patsy.

  • To me, This was her best. All you have to do it listen to tell how pure her voice was. Just amazing.

  • Jessica Lang played a hell of a role as Pasty Cline in The Movie Sweet Dreams my 1st real introduction to Country Music ........Two crazy girls I met from Boise Idaho shared this movie with me about 23years ago.... I loved the movie watched it about 40x's and loved her voice and my 1st Country Female Artist CD I ever purchased, best investment I ever made! I lost touch with them but, never had the chance to say Thank you for enriching my life with this amazing songstress and their friendship.

  • I loved that movie too.

  • Yeah, I watched Coal Miners Daughter yesterday, Beverly D'Angelo sang Sweet Dreams perfectly, cut no comparison to Patsy Cline.

  • Thank you.....Patsy

    Sic Semper Tyrannus.........(Virginia)

  • beautiful

  • ...It just doesn't get any better than the excellent voice of Miss Patsy. The difference between good singers with a hit...And a Legend...Their not even in the same catagory of talent...

  • God I luv Patsy Cline. Her voice was just amazing!

  • What an instrument (her voice) !

  • Don Gibson wrote this and" I Can't Stop Loving" in the same night in 1/2 hour

  • Comment removed

  • Can anyone help me folks ???? This fabulous song was featured in the movie "Coalminers Daughter" I assumed when Beverly D'angelo sang this in the movie, she was miming, as it sounded just like Patsy's version. I was told years later Beverly D'angelo actually sung this song in the movie. Can anyone confirm that, thanks ????

  • It's true, both Sissy Spacek and Beverly D'angelo did all of the singing in the film Coal Miner's Daughter. I just watched the film last week and in the closing credits it states all songs performed by Sissy Spacek and Beverly D'angelo. Both actresses gave amazing performances.

  • Hey amhitesman, much appreciated. It was many years ago I saw the movie & dont know why I didnt watch the credits at the end. But wow, had no idea Sissy Spacek also did her own singing. You are so right, they were both amazing, with great voices. Have always had a crush on Beverley lol !!!!! And Patsy too of course !!!!!!! Thanks friend.

  • i love this song

  • This is one of my "sad" songs. She was an amazing singer.

  • she is the best female singer of all time she will never be repeated just an awsome voice i am lost for words

  • please do not forget K.D.Lang

  • I was at my sisters house and there was this girl who was singing along with this song and she held herself very well.all I could do was sit and listen to her it was as tho we were hearing Patsy Cline herself.I never saw her again but I wish I could just to hear her sing. She said she grew up listening to Patsy Cline because her Mom and Aunties would listen to them all the time so she would just sing along when they would play her music.she could sing any Patsy Cline song it didn't matter

  • Better than Marilyn Mansons version.

  • and I bet you like her version of nobodies better too.

    alexDCI is a dumbass

  • her version of Crazy was better than Knarles Barkleys.

  • Two different songs. Go to your room.

  • I know, it's a joke.

  • marilyn mansons version wasnt of this song it was the version from the eurythmics sweet dreams are made of this

  • nothing to say but exelence at its best

  • I loved patsy since i was real little. grew up on her music. love her always.

  • to sound like this in concert - this is what entertainment is all about. just - shine...

  • man shes the best!

  • This Genre has acclaimed quite a few Queens of Country Music, the likes of Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, who were all fantastic singers, but they are all left in the wake of the Greatest Female Singer of Country Music of All Time, Patsy Cline. God Bless and Thanks for her short time on earth. She was truly gifted

  • I wish Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison had recorded a duet.

  • what an awesome, not to mention, original comment to make, god bless you & your taste, you beautiful creature.

  • that was meant for you

    InMyMomsBasement.

  • Thank you! I think they would have made an amazing duet. They both had such beautiful voices.

  • I love Patsy..So sweet and a great singer that left us too soon. Thank you Patsy for all your beautiful songs. Amen

  • ....Sonic Alchemy....

  • One of the most beautiful songs of all time, sung by one of the most incredible voices of all time. What a combo

  • I love Patsy Cline!She's got a beautiful voice.

  • This is the song by Patsy Cline that I like most. I may be prejudiced but there hasn't been and probably there won't be another singer like Patsy

  • Without Question...One Of The All Time Greats no matter what Genre of Music....

Patsy always sang like her Heart was Breaking and she made yours break right along with hers....Bob,Palm Springs, Ca. USA

  • I think Patsy's a bit like the female equivalent of Roy Orbison.

  • ditto!!!

  • My mum used to sing this a lot to me and my sister when we were babies and toddlers--whenever I hear Patsy's voice I think of my mum.

Thanks for posting! brings back old memories of mum.

  • aw! lol thats really cute lol

  • wow her voice is even more amazing than ever on this song. Timeless.

  • Timeless, such a beautiful voice and truly a legend

  • yea she had her vocals on lock perfectly

  • That's a good idea. Let's see if Susan Boyle can give her a run for money. People say that Streisand is the greatest singing actress of all time, but Patsy is pretty hard to beat in this short cut.

  • Streisand is not even close to Patsy.

  • One of the most beautiful country songs. It was a succes after the plane crash of Patsy Cline. The song is so nice by the voice of Patsy. No other singer even the composer can not sing this song like Patsy. A singer of her time end 50 early 60 a time were every one believes in the time. Thanks to YouTube thanks to Patsy Cline!

  • Love Patsy, and all her songs, no one can touch her yet.

  • I dont remember my grand pa, he died when I was 3, I know he listened to her alot.

  • im only a young girl , but i love this song its amazeing vocals XxX

  • old is gold... just beautiful.

  • best voice

  • I agree. There will never be another Pasty, but i would love to hear Susan give it a try!

  • Love this woman - wow, Perhaps Susan Boyle should try one of her songs. :-)

  • Please, no. Nothing against Susan, but I cant listen to other singers sing Patsy. No matter how good. Patsy sang it, and it was done.

  • Right on, ForeverAnalog. I completely agree with you.

  • Perhaps the best female voice ever, Patsy you left us too soon.

  • The violins aside, can there be any doubt that this was her best song ever?

  • Patsy Cline was an incredible singer and a true legend.

  • I know listen to the purity of her voice man. And that's never more apparent than on this song IMO. I mean the part at 1:38 is AMAZING. Listen to it!

  • There was a line in the movie Coal Miner 's Daughter where Sissy Spaceks character Loretta Lynn says "can't nobody sing like Patsy". truer words have NEVER been spoken!!!

  • I listen to it over and over.her phrasing and articulation are rare for the time and genre.

She was the most perfect singer on the planet me thinks!

Good to see Patsy lovers here.

Wherever you are Patsy...I wish you were here.'

  • This is one of the songs that separates Patsy from any other singer ever to talk the earth (that has been recorded).

Listen to the covers and it will make you sick.

  • There was a quality in PC's voice that has never been duplicated. It was like ringing a bell.

  • No kidding! Can you imagine how this song would sound if an Apple sang it?

    ;>)

  • My favorite singer of all time. The greatest singer i have ever heard

  • The most incomparable Patsy Cline.
