This guy really listened to the original Williams score, it shows in many of the passing harmonies, etc. As far as the comments on organists playing 'orchestral tributes', etc. Try something different, try making it sound like a Rock Group! It's really fun.

All I can say Ron is Wow baby!!! There are some highly proficient technical theatre organist out there and I just added you to that exclusive list. I hope someday you get to do a full concert here in the CIC-ATOS area because I'd love so very much to hear you perform your magic in person. There have been some very good versions of this theme played of which yours just went into my top three list because of your attention to absolute detail, tonal colorization, texture and balance of sound.

1:21 or 2:14 Throne Room Processional is my idea of the best wedding post march. I imagine having a real Mitchel film crew in true Lucas style pulling a dolly with the camera in an angle up shot. Lucas rode the dolly and ran the camera looking up at Han and Chewy as they walked down the aisle to collect their award from Leia. That's the shot I want some day. And then Vader's theme for the mother in law walking out. Ha! No not really.

...yes...but not all the time...because that bugs me. A couple organists like to treat every arrangement, medley, etc., as a "symphonic portrait" or "orchestral tributes"...blah blah blah...it gets old after awhile. It's knowing how to use more than the same 2 sounds in a theatre organ. Mezzo-Forte, and bigger Mezzo-Forte. Somehow, a lot of theatre organist think that those two sounds make it "symphonic".

I agree, but I suppose it varies from instrument to instrument - the range of colours and dynamics. I suppose your life has been made slightly more easy because you have a massive 41 rank thing to play with. Bravo once again, really stunning playing thank you :))

Well, I only play this organ maybe once every 3 years or so. The organ I play on nightly is in Milwaukee, WI, and is a 30 rank Wurlitzer with a lot of the same features, functions and so on that this organ has. Agreed, it is very nice to play an organ with the vast tonal resources, which means more creativity...! :)

Out of synch or not, this is great playing! The fullness of sound surprised me. Not many YouTube videos, at least theatre organ videos, come through so well. Superb!

Love the "new" console, too... That was still being restored/rebuilt by Ken Crome when I moved away, so I never got my grubby paws on it... Not like I was ever good enough to get much good music out of one, anyway :)
