  • not a cub

  • It might be Cub yellow, but it ain't no Cub

  • SWEET!:)

  • great !!!

  • great !!!

  • Thats definently not a piper...look at the tail section design, window design, and nose section. All close to a storch, or something else. But not a cub...great flying though

  • @RedDevilSquadron if couse it's not a cub, a cub would be bigger and able to carry people... it's an rc cub... lol

  • chainsaw motor?

  • test...

  • and what the fuck is cool in that shit :D explain to me

  • where was the cub? all I saw was one of those fun fly planes

  • Weedwacker!!!! lol

  • sweet

  • Hehe, cool

  • The whole prop hang looks un-holy in a high wing Cub like yellow trainer

  • Comment removed

  • The coloring is similar to a cub, not much else tho...

  • @slyguy11572 It's more like a J-2 cub with squarer wings!

  • can you go from hovering to normal flight without landing?

  • Brawo!!!

  • Bet ya $200 that it wouldnt fly straight and he had to catch it to land it. Thats the worst case of tail heavy ive ever seen

  • Scale flying...!

  • nice

  • what is that?? nice hover but i dont think that is a Piper Cub...

  • Pretty darn good trick for a trainer.... SPAD???

  • nice

  • that aint a cub

  • that isnt a cub

  • lol yea i was just thinking that too thats no cub

  • @zackychane its a t240.

  • it looks like the planes infront of the camera and the guy flying is looking the wrong way lol , good flying

  • kewl

  • Nice scale flight! LOL

    Great flying!

  • looks like a corocub made out of coroplast....

  • wow, I had no idea a cub was capable of hovering.... It's so cool!!!

And by the way, you make it look easy!! :)

  • lol put a big enough motor on it and you can hover almost anything

  • nice corocub. im about to build me a giant SPAD stick for a 26cc weed eater engine

  • damn cool but doesn´t that proof that the engine is a bit to strong :D

  • Not really - To do that you have to turn DOWN the throttle., so meh

  • that's pretty cool, if you rounded off the wing its it would do that a lot better. Gives you more float, the squared shape makes it wanna slice through the air more.

  • boa exibição valeu!!!!!!!

  • Why did he buy a cub if he was going to do hovers? Weird. Not very cub like, but I wouldn't mind having one!

  • why are you idiots so critical about everything...maybe this is how he wanted to build his cub...who cares

  • that's not a cub

  • POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO IS THESHIZNIT

  • LOL.. yep

  • worst time for a deadstick.. lol

  • The force is strong with you..

  • Not quite a Cub by any means.. till nice flying anyhow

  • that looks nothing like a cub, the wing shape is al wrong, the surface shapes are all wrong :s

  • You have a better eye than I do. I flew a J-3 for 5 years and this thing looks pretty close to me.

  • boa assim é que é

  • NICE...

  • toy, my butt! that's at least a $1,500 plane i give 5 stars

  • Great vid, awesome pilot, 5 starz!!!

  • thats hell good hovering

  • Great flying... Not to sure about the people posting on here but!!

  • Hey, I think everyone should just drop it and move on.

  • Holy shit! What's going on in here? I don't fly RC, or real planes, but even I could tell it wasn't a real plane before I checked it out. Good vid.

  • Comment removed

  • What did you think it would be? A full size piper cub obviously cant hover. Jeez.

  • well since everyone is adding there 2 cence i mind as well add mine. For all u people who just fly full scale and not R/C heres some news for ya. I also fly fullscale, however i have flown r/c 3D aerobatics for over 5 years not 2 mention i was sponsored. With out a doubt the gentlemen who posted this video is absolutley correct, flyin r/c is harder then flying full scale. and ill just leave it at that, since i only have 69 letters left 2 type.

  • I don't think that they're supposed to do that, skipper. I think it's the Sikorsky model that you're looking for. :-)

  • cool. lol kinda sounds like someone was cutting down a tree with a chainsaw. cool that plane can do that

  • Perhaps the power-to-weight ratio on an RC model is a bit better than on a real Cub. Not even the PA-18 Super Cub can hover. In a hammerhead stall, many planes can "hang" for a few seconds before falling off, but that is not a hover.

  • if you new anything about the "real thing", then you would know that a real cub would not be able to hover

  • Don't discredit these aircraft, 100% of those pilots you saw hovering were inspired by the unlimited capability of these so called "toys". RC pilots are THE pioneers of aircraft maneuverability. Dumbass....

  • Don't discredit these aircraft, 100% of the pilots you claim to have seen "truly" hover will always look up to RC models as a source of inspiration. RC pilots are THE pioneers of aircraft maneuverability. Dumbass....

  • Oh, so now I'm a "dumbass"? It wasn't me that posted the same idiotic reply twice AND i don't recall reading how the Wright brothers copied their idea of a successfull flight from a guy flying his RC "TOY" on the beach...Toy...a diminuative model of the real thing. An artical used for entertainment. So, stay with your toys and leave the "aircraft" to those that enjoy (and can afford) the real thing Mr. Liddle Widdle big boy and his toy...shit head

  • Actually the Wright brothers WERE inspired by a "toy" model airplane. Look up the "Wright Bat", a simple rubber powered model that initially steered them toward aviation. I graduated from UF back in '99 with degrees in mechanical engineering/control systems, and I've worked with Lockheed Martin and Boeing. Scale modeling plays a key role in developing modern full scale aircraft, and RC models are, without question, the most maneuverable vehicles in the world. So yes, you are a dumbass...

  • I graduated in 74 from MIT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, in 77 from Harvard with a degree in International law, 81 from Cal Tech with computer science. I helped develope the B1 bomber, the Hubble telescope and the new McDonalds french fry recipie. Blow it out your ass...a toy is a toy and will always be a toy. Don't try to compare it with am engineering "mock up." If using toys as inspiration, we would all be flying a Frisbee to work by now. So, stick it in your poop chute dumberass.

  • "dumberass"? Nice try but your argument here has gone far beyond frivolous. Care to have another stab at it?

    cabritorsss=epic fail ;)

  • "Beyonf friolous", "another stab at it"? Shit man, can't you tell when you've been stabbed, killed and buried? Go play with your toys in the after life...

  • Your credentials do not agree with your attitude.

Most modern radio control aircraft have more technology in them than red bull air race planes and even small personal planes.

I suppose the Predator is a toy too eh? Oh wait, it wouldn't exist if it wasn't for our toys.

Also, some people have no interest in the real thing. It's much safer on the ground and takes a LOT more skill to pilot an rc aircraft than a full size plane.

Even I can fly a real plane. Where's the fun in that? Too easy...

  • I'm not stopping you from wearing your short pants and pretending while you "PLAY" with your toys...all I ask is that if you're going to post a viseo of your exciting play times...tell us it's an RC video. Don't say "Piper Cub hovering"...say "RC Piper Cub hovering" so those of us NOT into toys don't waste our time. Got it? Good. Now run along and play...

  • Obviously, you wanted confrontation otherwise you would not have been such a jerk in your replies.

If you posted what you did and expected NOT to get in a retard-based youtube argument, you really are not very bright.

Nobody with model planes pretends it's real. It's different entirely. Not the same thing. Same as people who build plastic kits. Ours just happen to fly, and are capable of manuevers that fullsize planes can't even dream of, and the human body can't even withstand.

    -Eric

  • I've been asked MANY times why I don't just get into real flying. I have interest in it, but not to the extent that I do radio control.

It's a different feeling, a different rush. Neither is "lesser" than the other. Insulting people only starts fights, and I assume you know that.

If you can't come up with a reasonable reply, I'll know who the bigger man is in this argument.

    -Eric

  • You can tell before you click, from the picture that its not full size!! Now run along & play with whatever floats your boat.

  • You're a little late with your comment. Just because you let your sister jack you off I wouldn't consider it "mighty goo". Now fuck off and mind your own buisness.

  • Erm, ok, I am only 14, i love aviation, i love rc planes, i love real ones. I am i pilot, yet not fully qualified, (i've had flying lessons) and flying a real aircraft i.e a cessna 172 is much harder than flying an RC one, so please dont spam random rubbish just because you dont agree with something that someone has said

  • I guess skill was the wrong word. MOST people in r/c will agree that it is, in general, more difficult to learn R/C from a piloting aspect than it is a full size plane. I think this boils down to perspective, since you're on the ground and can't actually feel what the aircraft is doing.

I still say that if I had to get off an island in a real J3 cub and land it on the other side, I'd survive. If a 1:1 pilot had to take off an r/c plane and land it to save their life, they'd fail.

    -Eric

  • You're little bio says you're 23. Is that in dog years? All I ask is...IF YOU ARE POSTING A VIDEO CONCERNING AIR CRAFT AND THAT THET ARE OF THE RC VARIETY...SAY SO IN THE TITLE. As for the "bigger" man...I'm 6'2" and 263 lbs. I earn enough to be on Obama's hit list and as to who has the least patience for this...it's me. Who is probably the "nicer" man...it's probably you...Now, run along and do whatever you do. Me? I just got in from flying...a real one.

  • You're an ass.

  • You're the hole

  • I'm only 13, and rc is much harder than real flying or rc takes more skill. This is due mostly to depth perception, the control reversal when it's flying at you, and the fact that you can hover(!) an rc cessna. Real planes are easer to fly because they allow more responce time rather than in rc, 1/4 second and the plane is gone.

  • Hmmm, I missed this comment before. And I was right . . . you ARE an ass. And with all those degrees and experience you're quite a smart-ass, to boot! Oh, and loud-ass, as well.

  • Ooooh!!! You terrible, terrible man. Not only terrible, now you can hear how loud I am. Tell you what sporty. Instead of wasting your time here, check up on how friendly your wife is with the neighbors. "SinisterMental"...how scary that name is...for 3rd graders. You sell insurance, work in accounting, work a retail store or you redeem prizes at Chucky Cheese don't you?

  • Sure, whatever you say, asshole. You just can't stop showing everyone just how smart you are. You can't even tell a real plane from an RC plane before you click on a link. What a retard.

  • No you ignorant jerk off. The title clearly states "Piper Cob hovering." Now you fortune telling shit head...how can YOU tell it's not a real Cub instead of some over grown "little boy" wannabe playing with his toy. Now, fuck off and either repent or peep in on your wife..at least she's playing around like a woman instead of a widdle girl...

  • youre a nut

  • A skilled nut lol

  • The plane is a Coro-Cub. Made from coroplast plastic.

  • i was nmot critisizing the ability of the pilot in any way i dont know where you got that idea from , i merly want people to know what planes they are showing so as people who dont kno what they are get wrong information about types of planes as this is a common problem when people see a plane and want it and go to buy it and it isnt waht they thought it was and get huffy about it

  • Nice bit of flying. Cub or not cub, if you want to critisize, just try doing it first with a similar model.

  • Dang!

  • This isnt a Cub its a hight wing trainer or decathlon , but very good none the less as ive never seen a hight wing torque and hover

  • haha... not everyday u see a high wing torque roll.

    good job.

  • i bet he has a gyro

  • i watched someone do this once... he ran out of fuel doing this over two metre high whaet field...but dontworry the smokke and flames helped us track it down lol

  • J3 or not, hovering a high wing 'trainer" with very little control surface area is a skill :-)

  • THATS NOT EVEN A CUB U MORONS!!!

  • very good pilot

  • I'd be careful doing stunts like that... But it's so cool!

  • sorry not a j3

  • jjajaja.. i have a cessna cardinal with a .46cc and 1.7m and it almost can do torke..(just for a few seconds...)

now i'm converting it to a seaplane... anyway, fun plane and nice flyings!

  • That's amazing!

  • savagecub most many of them do fly real airplanes you jack ass.

  • why dont you go and fuck your self fag

  • Do you fly either of them??? Nah... You're too fucking stupid to know how to fly. Nevermind.

  • -couse you can have about 750 R/c airplanes for the price of a 'real' one.

-and you don't 'just' get a real pilot licence.

-some people like R/c much more than real flying.

i think you have enough reasons now.

  • why is it rotating to the right? weird, unless hes using the ailerons to actually make it roll it should be torque rolling to the left

  • It is.

  • looooooooooooooool

  • First I thought it was the real thing!

  • Oh that's just wrong... :)

  • coro-cub eh? flies super for corrugated plastic huh? great piloting skills man congrats on having such a swell model!

  • what a stupid replys here.. no matter if is a piper or not.. is a model plane with an extreme pilot.. and it does look like a cub. dam morons

  • It takes alot of skill to maneuver an RC plane to hover!

  • Looks kinda like the Eagle 2, in a tail dragger configuration.

  • Sounds like a weed wacker haha.

  • this is not a cub!

    its a trainner...

  • That's not a Cub, retard.

  • It pretty much is... Close enough.

  • NO. If you've ever seen a J-3 Cub, you'd know the wing design, tail feather design, and general fuse/wing design. It's NOT a Cub.

  • I have several Piper cubs. ALL of which look SIMILAR, but not exactly like it. Thats why i said "Close enough!"

  • It's not a Cub or even a Piper aircraft. It is a REPLICA, as you can see by the fact that it is only a little longer than the people walking around it, and by the fact that it is running off little more than a weed wacker engine, AND by the fact that it has no pilot. It's a remote control plane, so everyone stop arguing over whether it's a Piper Cub or a J-3. It's neither.

  • you're fucking stupid. we all know its a model. Its just a debate on what model it is. I know its NOT a piper CUB!

  • Not stupid, just unsure of the intelligence of others. Nothing personal, but I'm sure you know how stupid some people on YouTube can be. I know people stupid enough to think this is a real plane, so it's hard to tell what people are thinking from YouTube notes. Calm down.

  • okay Mr. "I have to be smart on YouTube because im not really in person" I know its not a Piper Cub!. Guess what? Its CLOSE ENOUGH! haha. Im not commenting anymore. You guys are morons.

  • Look, it can't be CLOSE ENOUGH. It either IS or ISN'T.

  • ever heard of semi-scale?

  • yes

  • Oh wow!

I know my trainer plane won't do that.

  • it looks more like a treesaw or however you english call it to me..

  • thats not a real Cub. thats a Trainner plane paited yellow.

  • for me it looks like a cub

  • It's not a Piper Cub! Just because it'syellow doesn't make it a Cub.....TARD!

  • mad skills

  • lmfao wt motor is in that, skills

  • that is just something you shouldnt be able to do in a cub.... they're supposed to be for lazy flying...

  • ya got skills bro!!!!!

  • Yeah, I imagine that the torque roll is most certainly hard to master and fun to do... but I really don't find it interesting. Yawn.

  • EXCELLENT (from Cyprus)

  • Very good! Bye (from Argentina)
