  • Not trying to troll, I LOVE this music, but I'm kind of having the feeling that the musicians don't really feel the music that well... You can almost tell that they haven't listened to the cds example: that solo at 4:08 should definitely be legato.

  • The solo violin in "the shire" <3

  • lord of the rings music is absolutely amazing the chorus is so beautiful

  • where can i find that without the interruption of the guy who always starts talking, explaining stuff id rather "google" than let it disturb the music -.-

  • @DerBinsAliasHannibal "the guy" is... the composer Howard Shore.

  • @garneyreandeol so where can i find that without the interruption of the composer Howard Shore who always starts talking, explaining stuff id rather "google" than let it disturb the music ^^

  • Lindo uma obra de arte.

  • Cette musique est vraiment (vraiment) génial !

    LOTR =)

  • Pretty incredible.

  • i love the LOTR Orchester *-*

  • anyone else listen to this while reading the books?

  • @Maizira97 no but that gives me a reason to read them for like the 10th time now

  • 3:17 look at this faces :D

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! WHY IS IT SO DAMN LOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!

  • ALUCINANTE, INCREIBLE, BELLISIMO

  • its......so...........good*___*

  • is this on itunes?

  • The shire , really music ,good people like good music .

  • Incredible !

  • A masterpiece. I heard it twice live! The first time in Antwerpen conducted by Howard Shore himself. When he received an Academy Award it was well deserved.

  • THIS IS MUSIC

  • Music Perfection!

  • Had to turn up my volume all the way on my computer to hear using my headphones. Turned up the volume all the way on the video too. Is it just my computer or is it the video? I remember seeing this video on a different computer a while ago and I think i might have had the same problem back then too.

  • sauron and smygol on youtube wtf ?! :O

  • love 5:17

  • True Lord of the Rings fans would never bad review here the!

  • Comment removed

  • Two dislikes?? Sauron and Morgoth are back!!

  • @ShinzoKikuta or Saruman

  • @JordoZombie

I don't think so.. Saruman was not under the control of Sauron, but had his own evil plans, which where not planed as a servant .. Especially he knew the good thinks of life like pipe weed, and that he was not interested in beautiful things anymore is just figured out in the films like that, but if you take the books as source it is most likely, that he liked good music, even in the end.. And he was not a friend of Morgoth changing the Music of the Ainur ;)

    Greets from Germany =)

  • Am I wierd if the Shire theme always makes me cry? :')

  • @HylianInHeart1 No, that's normal.

  • There has never been written a comparable soundtrack, neither before nor after.

  • jaw dropping

  • horny as hell! THANKS!

  • Sauron and Saruman disliked this

  • @BsBellamy xD

  • @BsBellamy smeagol hates it too

  • i wished they'd played the Leonard Rosenman score...

it's pretty fucking good when it comes down to dramatic moments/battle scenes

  • Pure awesomeness....

  • This is cleary magical.

  • What concert hall is this being performed in?

  • EPIC AWESOME ... i feel like im inside middle earth!!

  • wow..just noticed that this video was made with my city's orchestra...Montreal. Thought it would be US or UK

  • Only Sauron disliked

  • hmmmm.... i bet Sauron if heard on DVD would have danced on it....

  • INCREIBLE...

  • 3:20 gave me chills....

  • @supaMcnugget Its amazing, its my favourite part when "the lord of the rings" comes up in the intro after a second of silence.

  • I think half of the movie is the music

  • this is just for the fellowship of the ring isn't it?

  • Howard Shore needs more recognition, he's a genius.

  • 1:18 to start music

  • Not all Tears are evil.

  • The conductor is mad but amazing!

  • @SuperJackjack13 its Howard Shore himself !!!

  • going to this kind of concert in february I simply can't wait !!

  • lol I don't hear anything, next time open up the sound smartass.

  • @HILTI88pl It was actually agoody with the return of the king "collector's edition"

  • @rocknrolllives

It's on Amazon, I just checked.

  • @rocknrolllives @HILTI88pl haha, that DVD was included in the very special pack of the return of the king, with an incredible miniature of Minas Tirith, i love this dvd, it makes me cry every time i listen to it :')

    try on ebay ;)

  • @rocknrolllives just purchased on amazon for 85 cents plus 2.50 shipping!..... not sure why so cheap, it does say 'Howard Shore Creating the Lord of the Rings Symphony'' so... should be it....

  • @przemekklimczak yeah i saw that one but i didn't know if its the same one, thanks for the info

  • instrument *

  • what kind of flute intrument thing is he playing at 5:15?

  • @ehPheonixPhotography tin whistle

  • I was there that night, stage right? or is it left? About 10 rows back. It was cool, but if you watch 'The Black Riders' it is dragging. In fact, the first half of the show seemed too slow, and the second half, after intermission, seemed too fast, as if Howard had told the symphony to speed it up and they overcompensated. Didn't seem to have enough rehearsal time between the choirs and the orchestra.

  • @PreacherofArrakeen Still, it was definitely worth going to see (I came in from Ottawa to see it). I still listen to the soundtracks a lot, and I think the movies wouldn't have been as good without Howard's soundtrack.

  • bellisimo, un regalo para la vista y el oido!

  • The only kind of music I listen to is metal/rock (and their subgenres) and like nothing else, but I think the soundtrack for the LOTR Trilogy might be the greatest piece of music I've ever heard in my life. I cannot wait for The Hobbit films to come out. I'm sure Howard Shore is going to amaze all of us once again with his amazing compositions.

  • The guy at 0:18 totally looks like my 9th grade world history teacher! LOL

  • @psyclone7 Maybe it is! :D

  • sound is too low

  • The like bar looks like a light-saber.

Oh wait this is LotR :s

  • Sauron didn't like this

  • 1 troll liked this!;) hahaha

  • 1 orc don t like this xD

  • The guy on the guitar at 6:38 looks like wilson from the tv show house

  • Gives me goosebumps ! The movies, the music, just everything is amazing .

  • ~:0)

  • lord of the rings and pirates of the carribean the 2 movies with the 2 best orchestras :D

  • Sauron disliked this

  • @davidppatriot Why'd do that? There's plenty of Mordor inspired music in here as well. Morgoth.

  • @baryon15 because he cried when heard the music

  • @davidppatriot that was awesome comment. :D

  • @davidppatriot 1 is Souron and 2nd person is Saruman

  • @davidppatriot And Saruman

  • @davidppatriot and his puppet Saruman

  • I don't understand why some people have attitude problem..!!

  • Honestly...how attention deprived, unpopular, retarded, stupid, idiotic and pure and simply not worth living in a comunity can you be to dislike this?

  • At my youth age I was fascinated with Ennio Morricone's music as I'm still enjoy it..

Now as my age advances Howard Shore's woderful music and Peter Jackson's movies of The Lord of the Rings took my imagination to another dimension!!

  • the best trilogy ever make...!!!

the music is such a wonderful, even ur not watching the movie...the music take u to the middle earth...to the third age of the sun...!!

  • Sauron gefällt das nicht!!!!

  • Howard Shore describes with notes what Tolkien described with words. Music is a unique language and I had never heard something written with such great accuracy. There is no mistake and nobody on earth cannot be touched by this.

  • One person is from Mordor!

  • 281 dislikes and 0 dislikes. Let's keep it that way folks.

  • @fridsade because of you omeone disliked it

  • @samuriasamc It must be an Ork :D

  • I'm sure theres all this craze about Harry Potter and stuff, but honestly, LOTR is by far the best series I've ever seen.

  • @NibbleHusky true dat ive seen many movies and nothing can compare

  • the shire is the best song!!!!!

  • this is the best music and film ever!!!!!

  • First video I've seen with 0 dislikes, how fitting that it should be this

  • oh my lord, I would have an eternal orgasm if I was sitting there listening to this masterpiece.

  • 3:20 It is my life, my preciousssssssssss...

  • Call me crazy, but my dream is to build Bag End in a nice country area (scaled to human size of course).

  • If you dont like this kind of music then I suggest you stop listening to music altogether

  • History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge.

  • @MatthewRichmond ah i like the first the best. cuz it just had that feel to it. the introduction to the wraiths that storm the town up to the part on witch king mountain that part was awesome, then the balrog on the bridge of khazad-dum, you're also introduced to lothlorien and rivendell. several scenes in the first did not have the same intensity in the last two films. I liked the second one the least. but i like the second film's final battle the most

  • @MatthewRichmond ah so you liked the third the best?

  • @MatthewRichmond really? even gabriel's oboe? and the legend of 1900 soundtracks?

  • so beautyfull and so touching!!

brings back the memories of the movie! now it makes me want to see the movies again :D

  • damn...I live in Montreal! I wish I could've been there >.<

  • If I saw this live... I would be so amazed...

  • @SenakuAruno me too

  • In the shire, I love the violin solo, it's really beautiful

  • I sometimes still whistle that tune from 5:12 without having a clue I'm doing it ;-).

  • Eargasm!

  • I just had a orchestral orgasm!

  • <3

  • Beautiful!!!

  • I wish I could at least know how to play the flute.. is such an art!

  • amazing.....

  • My God look at the size of that orchestra. It dwarfs the Star Wars in Concert!!

  • This has the scope and grandeur of the biggest Mahler scores. Too bad Mahler didn't live long enough to do film scores.

  • It must be really amazing to work with such large orchestra and choir :)

  • Did you notice they are all white

  • Live in Tolkien's world - it's my dream

  • Howard Shore is amazing, and all those amazing musicians gave me goosebumps several times while watching this. It's awesome to see Howard up there so excited and involved in this beautiful symphony he has created for the Lord of the Rings films.

  • TEARS

  • There's someting evil and bad in the Air.Well that seems not possible. For this is the Shire and its hard for evil to hurt these peacefull Lands

  • amazing ;DDD

  • INCREDIBLE

  • Why is the beginning Not avaible in CD?

The Part between the prolog and the shire is Not in the Official CD ;-(

  • esta super wooo el video, mil gracias por compartirlo, saludos

  • imagine the bragging rights those kids would have later in life "i was in lord of the rings bitch!"

  • 5:15 to 6:15 is just awesome!!

  • @shispir

5:40 - 6:15 - so awesome! is there any chance to see it live in 2011? does someone know?

    2000 years*

  • @thistleinfotech 10 years" morricone was still in action in the 90s XD

  • @thistleinfotech Damn straight

  • @thistleinfotech What about any Hans Zimmer and John Williams? John Adams? Plenty of others.

  • @Gpianolf3640 - all wonderful composers, but none of them have written anything in the last 20 years as good as this... (IMO of course...)
