I have a book called "Heartmates" & it's given me some insight. It's taught me that the myriad of emotions I've felt are inescapable & that, to heal, I must talk about it to whomever will listen. In Jun '06 we sold our home in CA, moved to an apt for a yr & when Jim retired in May '07we moved to TX & live in the home where he grew up. 9 mo's later he had the heart attack. I've no friends or family here. I'm all alone. I've flown my sister here 2 Xs, but to my surprise, his kids didn't come & their guilt has them treating me awful, as if I did wrong! They're shameless! I cry a lot & then get on with each day. You understand the life quite well, I know. One foot in front of the other.

This was especially of interest and appeal to me as I lost my wife of 54 years this last July, 16. She also perished from brain cancer, God rest her soul. Time seems to be lessening the pain and loss for me, as I am sure it is doing for you. Your song is a beautiful tribute!!

Roeleke, it is wonderful to watch and listen to this beautiful video tribute to George once again. How can I give you anything less than 5 stars once again my dear friend. I do understand how hard it is when we lose someone special. The days, weeks and months pass and we become stronger but we still miss our loved ones. I miss my dear Jake very dearly...it's been almost 4 months. I am working on a tribute video for him. God bless you my friend and God bless the memory of George.

Dag lieverd, ja, het is vreselijk om aan te moeten zien hoe de persoon verandert. Het snijdt je door de ziel, als zoiets gebeurt!
Voor George was het heel erg geweest om zo verder te moeten leven, en hij toonde me later, dat het zijn tijd was. Zo heb ik het makkelijker kunnen accepteren, alhoewel plotse confrontaties me nog steeds kunnen verwarren. Hij zal altijd in mijn hart blijven! En zo is het met onze geliefde mensen!
