People seriously! most animals that are from the wildlife either were found in places that they did not belong or had an injury that had cost them being able to survive OR were found as an infant and would not be able to learn survival skills. I am not saying that there no zoos that take animals in the wild but many zoos do it to increase and protect species that are in danger.
For white lions i respect zoos for taking them in, due to white lions fur colors most of there mothers reject them & because of there rare white beautiful fur they don't blend in properly so its even harder for them to hunt that's why there's not many because having white fur they cannot blend so they cannot live in the wild like a normal lion .

White lions exist in South Africa and they are a mutation in the wild yes but a mutation that happened without of human intervention. This mutation also happened in this zoo in Belgrade. Serbia is not a rich country and the zoo decided to use this opportunity, thus advancing the life's of all its animals.

But they werent, so its not natrual nor is it preserving something natrual so it's not nice to make something suffer for the zoo's selfish need of being known more. Unless the zoo being known more = more money for the ANIMALS, it's not right. Sadly, I doubt thats ever the case.
@jewelz17 Its a good thing to have zoos so that the ppl can get into the whole preserve the endangered species thing, and since Serbia is a poor country anything that doesn't hurt or endanger the animals, is good for the zoos finances is a good thing and should be done, Belgrade zoo is an old institution (no corporate bullshit, no real government support it exist on donations and tickets money) and needs all the support it can get. It helps every animal in the zoo if the zoo has more money.

How does this even help them? Its extremely rare to see lions like this without any birth defects. Inbreeding is horrendous, and for money hungry people who want something pretty to look at. Many of them don't live to old age either, and can have very bad rage. Natural lions look better to IMO, its wrong to put the animals life at risk for a pretty face.

They're cute yes, but its actually wrong to breed these animals, being albino comes from a mutation, and they can have serious health complications when they get older.
@bravo075 That's not really true, they aren't albinos, they would have red eyes if they were albinos. They have Leucism, it's similiar to albinism in that they are white but that's it really, they won't have any more health complications than any normal coloured lion.

Others estimate the number even higher but just to make it easier for white folks I will put the number at 20 million. @jewelz17 The point of the saying is quit doing something that is impossible to do, the river is a metaphor, A METAPHOR, for life and curvy the wrong ( the word curvy, in Serbian "kriv" can be used o show a faulty way or order of things) in it. This animals are in no way being hurt (there are vets in zoo's you know) humans are spreading on their natural habitats, thus they need to be preserved for future generations or would you prefer to kill some humans to give the animals some space?

White lions exist in South Africa and they are a mutation in the wild yes but a mutation that happened without of human intervention. This mutation also happened in this zoo in Belgrade. Serbia is not a rich country and the zoo decided to use this opportunity, thus advancing the life's of all its animals.

But they werent, so its not natrual nor is it preserving something natrual so it's not nice to make something suffer for the zoo's selfish need of being known more. Unless the zoo being known more = more money for the ANIMALS, it's not right. Sadly, I doubt thats ever the case.

It helps every animal in the zoo if the zoo has more money.

How does this even help them? Its extremely rare to see lions like this without any birth defects. Inbreeding is horrendous, and for money hungry people who want something pretty to look at. Many of them don't live to old age either, and can have very bad rage. Natural lions look better to IMO, its wrong to put the animals life at risk for a pretty face.

They're cute yes, but its actually wrong to breed these animals, being albino comes from a mutation, and they can have serious health complications when they get older.

@bravo075 That's not really true, they aren't albinos, they would have red eyes if they were albinos. They have Leucism, it's similiar to albinism in that they are white but that's it really, they won't have any more health complications than any normal coloured lion.
