Very good film, considering its a low budget indy film it was very well made and performed. The only part I didnt like was the Priest, who was OBVIOUSLY a gay man in real life... it took away from the film. Other than that it was a great story, and the full frontal nudity was a tastefully shot bonus. 4 1/2 stars.

Sean Hoagland was absolutley convincing in his portrayal as Brady the conflicted gay boy who is a devoted Christian. I am struggling with the sane conflict and the ending of the movie does not bring aby clarity...differentperspective wrt religion. Its allgood tobe true to yourself but if it is against Gods wishes then it is wrong......the mother in the movie says that "you cannot choose which parts of the Bible you wish to believe in". I guess I am still stryggling to find the answers I need
If you believe, as the mother does, that you can't chose which parts of the bible you agree with then I take it that you don't eat pork, shellfish, you don't cut your sideburns and you wear a shawl and/or yamulka when you pray. If you don't then you are picking and chosing the parts you don't want to agree with. I was expecting more from this film: the characters could have been developed more, the script could have allowed the actors to shine, and for the length I was expecting more substantive dialogs. This was Sean Hoagland's debut - I truly hope he can grace the screen in future movies more worthy of his talent (and looks).

The actor playing the religious boy delivers his lines with the stiffness of a brick wall, and the every line from the other actor is melodramatic. The religiously devout mother makes them both seem like A-listers though. Painful preview to watch, I can't imagine seeing 100 minutes. Too bad really.
