I worked with Clem at Canberra TV in Adelaide many years ago. Clem was a great help to both myself and all the other apprentices while we were learning our trades as TV repairmen. Yes he is definately a top guy and I'll always remember stirring him up about his beloved VW (aka Porche). Please pass on my well wishes to Clem, along with a happy 60th birthday from me, Peter Cathery.
Yep, I remember this film clip very well. As I recall, it caused quite a controversy at the time, due to its rather 'macabre' ending. But with hindsight (and old age), this clip to me seems to have a much greater genuine comic twist to it, compared to what I originally remember as a teen - very much in the style that made The Monkees so famous.. but also almost a 'Monte Python' type twist to it as well. The song itself was superb, very memorable - especially that Terry Britten lead guitar work !
GO! Show was awesome in Adelaide!!!
