Thank you for creating this slide show and pairng it with a gorgeous soundtrack. So fitting for an actress and person who never received much respect or appreciation in her lfetime.
Beautifully done and with much love. "Her" book was ghost written and published posthumously. This is not to say there is much truth in it, but the woman she lived with towards the end of her life gives herself much credit (and perhaps she deserves it...who's to say?) But she vanished and did not make herself available for comment.
Frances' primal wound was deep indeed. Her mother destroyed her. And it was the mother's mental illness that she projected onto her daughter. A profound tragedy.
A beautiful tribute, One of my all-time favourites, She wanted so much to be taken seriously as an actor and not purely because of her look. If she was active today she would be an A-lister, no doubt. The personal problems she had to deal with were truly horrific...you just have to look at a celebrity like Lyndsay Lohan with her so-called issues to see that that little C-lister would be nowhere near Frances and her talent nowadays. Frances was up there with the best!.
Basil, you make the best tributes and the Barcarole by Jacques Offenbach - the greatest!
I had the Barcarole in one of my Errol Flynn tributes and You Tube made me change it some copyright or what ever so I have now the Nabucco chorus. It is sometimes so annoying but...

I just found out she wrote a book about her life. I'm interested to see what really happened. Have you ever read it?
