I just saw David Sanscious in Woodstock and he put on an excellent performance. He now had a sax and jazz bass player in the lineup He opened the show with Sleight of Hand and finished with new jazz material . David is one of the best musicians and composers on the music scene today.
Oh, man, I bought all this guys stuff at the height of the fusion craze. Loved his no prisoners approach to music, but never got to see him tour on west coast or so cal. thanks for posting!
I saw David (with Tone) break out at the Bitter End on Bleeker Street, lo' those many years ago. I've watched him with Sting and Peter Gabriel and it does my heart good to see him still engaged in his own music. David, if you are out there, thanks. ♥
Wow. That was fantastic! I'm a long-time fan of David Sancious ("discovered" him in 1980) and I've come to appreciate just how much of a keyboard genius he is. Thanks for posting!
I rediscovered David a few years ago. I remember him practicing at home as his mother was one of my favorite teachers (4th grade @ Ridge Avenue). Life, surely, is a circle. I am loving his music.
David Sanscoius has a great understanding of harmony and counterpoint. I still have his first album forest of Feeings. One of the best keyboard players and composers, also a hot guitar player.
I first became familiar with DS's talent in the late seventies from his Stanley Clarke performances. Lost track of him till now. A very creative artist.
He filled in for Jason Rebello on the Australian and Japan tour. There's some songs here. See Jff Beck Sudney...nothing against Jason but David was a more natural fit...
david sancious es para mi uno delos mas grosos tecladistas de todos porque no solo tiene tecnica sino que sabe manejar todos los aspectos de climax que uno se imagine.... ademas esta acompañada de un motif 8..... sin palabras....
