I own 2 of his guitars, Yes the neck needs some adjusting but you have to remember he likes to play salsa and there setup for that hence the space at the base of the neck.

You need to adjust the neck for country or some good ole fashin rock but it is a awesome guitar. It sounds just like any gibson I have played or taylor, and they are made just as well and very beautiful!!

Anyone who dont like them just dont know what there talkin about or how to work on a guitar. Its very well made!!!!

the space between the strings and the neck has nothing to do with whether or not a person likes to play Salsa (Which esteban does NOT play).. He plays Flamenco.. And having the strings high off of the neck is a design or adjustment issue..

It usually means that the neck is sleightly bowed or that the bridge behind the f-hole is too tall... Bring it to a Luthier (guitar maker) and they can make a recommendation. If the guitar has a nice sound, it is worth getting it adjusted to play nicely as well.
