@tykill It provides some different hud options and other tools to help us practice. The physics are the same as q3 but its just a mod that offers some modes for trickers. (Timed maps, Freestyle settings)

@JustinSanchez Physics are tweaked slightly, but you do have the option for default Q3 physics. Your air strafing and turning ability is much stronger for instance.

@AdeonC We normally have a concept that we've thought up and then we try. A lot of it are those "Wouldn't this be cool" moments and then we try to figure out how to make those concepts work. Most of us know how far certain combinations of explosions will launch us and how much knockback each weapon creates and from this we are able to figure out what is possible.

i cant strafe jump for shit, i dont know why, ive tried and tried for years. im just glad i own with the rail gun. and my rocket jumping isnt bad. thats why i never defragged. the best thing ive done similar to it is completing the rocket traing on quake live, including the bonus level :) this is amazing btw

@sample2501 We don't do tricks in QuakeLive for the movies. You can still trick in Quakelive but the only thing that is missing it is Overbounces, like you mentioned. Maybe when we have more control of Quakelive as for being able to have the Defrag mod and the custom maps.

Im a huge fan of Q3 and i played it for years and i will admit thats a sick vid but i can honestly say im not impressed until i see it for myself because with quake 3 u can change in game physics at will and all the slowmo with camera and stuff can hide that but i will say that i dont doubt some of those are possible

@Toran1 I guess I can understand that. However we include all our demos with the distribution of the film so that people can see for themselves.

Slowing down the game is called Timescale and that can be seen in demo playback but we don't use it or change physics settings. Even if we wanted to Timescale you couldn't really do that online. The server would have to be Timescaled and the connection speed for each person would cause timescale to feel different for each player. Demo links on our site
