I seriously don't understand it when people say Muay Thai is either 2000 years old or it is the original version of kickboxing.

I'm not trying to offend anyone but,

Firstly thailand or any country in SEA for that matter has barely 500 years of history so how on earth can muay thai be 2000 years old.

Secondly , how can Muay Thai/Boran be the original form of kickboxing when it's itself comes from other martial arts such as Bokator, Kun Khmer (Khmer Boxing), Bando, Burmese Boxing etc.

i would pursue a very open muay thai career, u can only become better the more u no when i train i always go to diferent centers, ur absolute best bet is finding a mma training center where the master there is a 5th degree black belt in tae kwan doe, hap kido jiu jitsu and who is also a current boxing practioner, n it will do u wonders to train with a wrestler the best gym i ever was at the master was 5th degree black belt in about everything n i trained with alot wrestlers there very beneficial

My dad has a friend from Tiland that competed in this style...he only lost 2 times first was a tecnical call because he cought an elbow to the head and was bleading too much, and the second was he was fighting in china and if he won the spectators would have killed him.
