That's not Sephiroph's sword that is a Japanese Nodachi (Not sure if that's right). It was originally used to cut the legs off of horses the cavalry men rode in on and judging by how flimsy it is, that sword is not very well made and quite shitty.

THAT is a nodachi made for decoration, which is why the handle is long and blade is soft. its not supposed to be drawn. sephiroth's sword however is a katana (handle much shorter) with a ridiculously long blade.

I think it is so wobely because it is a crappy ass blade, not a truely crafted katana. Not sure if any actual katana's are that long but I wouldnt think they would be so flexible if they were.

In the game the grip is roughly 1/3 the length of the blade, slightly less. On this one it apears to be about half the length of the blade.

Also, a true fan of FF7 would not call this sword "sephiroths sword" its called Masamune in the game xD just pointing that out.
