  • I do enjoy the shooting montage, your suppose to wear those glasses though, and it appeared to me you were lacking ear protection.

  • @leb686 the only time I shoot without hearing protection is in actual contact...and that has not happened yet.

the eye wear in the vid was discussed a year ago with another viewer, but it will be ok.

  • Buy glock its the same package but less expensive, unless you need to have a safety.

  • @leb686 that smithy does not have a safety, no need.

  • I just put a down payment on one, just have to wait for my tax refund so I can finish paying for it.

  • I have this pistol as well. Went with the service model and it's really not a very big pistol by an means and conceals well. Love that it comes with different grips. I have yet to find a more comfortable pistol than this. The only thing I don't like is that I had to buy the smallest allen wrench I could find for adjusting the rear sight, and I somehow managed to lose the locking wrench that locks the grip in place. I like it much better than glock or the XD's.

  • I have this same pistol and it doesn't have that squeak at, even when brand new

  • Oil that s&w

  • @Harry9852 that is the normal sound one of these makes, well oiled or dry, they only get quiet after considerable round count has been accumulated.

  • @smithjacusmc

I wonder my mine is so quiet. lol

  • @teamShotFilms me too.

  • I'm in the market for a compact .40 and was looking at the M&P .40C. I was wondering if you have had any experience with this gun? I also like the fact that a manual safety is offered on the M&P models.

  • I was just wondering if after a few uses that horrible squeak went away? I'm in the market for my first pistol, for SD, and this one caught my eye. It's the only one of the "plastic fantastics" I actually find attractive, so I'm hoping that squeak didn't last?

  • Nice gun and nice video. I've shot one and will be picking one up soon!

  • Safety glasses on your head instead of over your eyes. Thats not using your head. Nice pistol.

  • @Kamuna2003 sunglasses. safety glasses are optional. but please.... always wear protection. :)

  • @smithjacusmc Fine shooting and cool gun. 2 questions for you; 1- You mentioned that you had several Glocks... how do you like the M&P compared to Glocks. 2- Who is playing on the music track... those are some bitching guitar riffs! Cheers!

  • Sweet ass gun

  • Nice review Marine, Semper Fi.

  • Excellent video. This video has definetely convinced me to make the Smith M&P 40 my next purchase. Thanks !

  • This gun is a beast, bulletproof, tough, accurate, and intimidating gun. Love it. Have the tactical flashlight on the rail too. It's my duty weapon and has deffinetly stopped plenty of criminals in their tracks. Don't go anywhere without it... was doing head shots at 25 yards. Will always be loyal to S&W!

  • I noticed you dont close either one of your eyes while shooting. Why and how does that work for you?

  • @chuckv5150 this is the proper use of sights on a firearm, your dominant eye will focus on the front sight, your other eye will produce a ghost like effect of the sights and clear view of your surrounding with your peripheral vision. you should do the same with red dots and rifle scopes. another advantage is it reduces strain on your dominant eye, allowing clear focus on your sights and target.

  • @smithjacusmc You're right. Always shoot with both eyes open!!

  • Picking mine up today.

  • @BrightonsMomma Just curious, are you happy with the M&P 40? I am torn between the M&P 40 and the SA XD40. The XD is a little less expensive but the Smith & Wesson firearm is a proven winner. I've heard nothing but good things about both.

  • @chuckv5150 I got rid of my XDm40 for my M&P because the gun was too sensitive to dirt and dust. When the XDm40 is clean it works like a champ and very accurate, too. I once went almost 2 months without shooting and even though I always clean it after a session at the range, apparently the dust build up and a bit of lint in the storage cabinet was enough to mess up something. And although I did not experience it, lots of people claim the XD is prone to rust. Maybe that's why it cost less?

  • Good video. Got mine in 2008 and it's gone through over 2500 rounds without a single hiccup. The only thing I found somewhat a problem like every other pistol is when I shoot it in the winter wearing my cold weather heavy glove the index finger is kind of a tight fit in the trigger guard.

  • oil yer gun man.

  • @stainless1911 thats the sound of a new gun yo. really, Ive had several glocks and these smith's are the same, they need a little break in before that squeak goes away.

  • @stainless1911 AND smith and wesson recommend running these things practically dry.

  • @stainless1911 I have a m&p .40 as well, that just how they are, break in period and then oil and normal maintenance

  • By the sound of your voice I thought you were older :D

  • @marlenebentley1989 is 35 not old enough? or did you think "old" like ? :)

  • @smithjacusmc by the sound of your voice I figured you in your late 40's or mid 50's...

  • @marlenebentley1989 not sure if that's a good thing or bad...and I did that vid 2 years ago, so I wonder if I am pushing 60 now...lol, oh yeah..

  • i live in CA and ive had this gun since 2007 and the only thing you cant have for it is a threaded barreal and mags that hold over 10 rounds, other than that this gun is not an illegal gun

ive fired about 3000 rounds threw it and not once have ive had an issue. runs like a champ!!!

great gun especially for a first time buyer

  • does yours have the Caution: capable of firing when magazine is out label on the side? can you get it without that? cause i hate the way it looks on some of em

  • @mrmason1208

Just get the one with the mag safety and the caution won't be on the side. But if your magazine's out, you won't be able to fire the round in the chamber.

  • @Stryc9Nine I'm getting to where I don't see that as an issue, I never fire anything without the mag...you?

  • @smithjacusmc

Unfortunately I don't have a choice but to get the one with the mag safety. I live in California. Fortunately M&P 40 is my first handgun so I don't know any other way but with this safety. Anyway, how are you liking yours? I went through 300 rounds and it's been running perfect so far.

  • @Stryc9Nine I have had two, one of my good friends has my last one, and 9L. we have never had any issues, even shooting lead reloads. these are supper reliable. and easy to operate.

  • @mrmason1208 yeah mine does have that on the side

  • @mrmason1208 Get the version with the magazine disconnect safety, then remove the disconnect safety lever. That way you won't have the big white lettering on the side, but can shoot with the magazine out. Do a search on how to remove the disconnect safety lever, it's a simple procedure. Of course, it's all at your own risk, but it's your gun and you can do to it what you please in this respect.

  • this isnt limited to the sale of military and police only is it?

  • @danapr21 Nope I got one in colorado. Walked out the store 30 minutes later with it... Mine has no safeties though.

  • I think you meant 4.25" barrel.

  • the noise inthespring will go away after break innirmally

  • GOOD JOB "SMITHY" ,us without arragance have learned plenty.

  • I think that you need to oil it, it shouldn't be making that loud of a squeak.

  • whats the squeek when u pull back on the slide

  • @fiorigia the sound of a new recoil spring as it compresses around the guide rod. It seems to be a trait of the flat recoil springs that this and glock use.

  • i realy enjoyed your review of thise gun, i own a s&w 40 tactical my mother passed to be beacuse her police department switch to this exact weapon and i have look at it and examined it well and all i can say is im going to be trading my gun for one of these.. i also think the price for these pistols are extremly worth it. im going to be getting it for about $440 NIB with kryp night sights after taxes with 3 mags and the whole 9 yards...im VERY excited to go to the range with it

  • Is this CA compliant? ca gun laws suck balls man

  • @Sauron767 you can get it CA compliant....of course you can't carry, load, or use it, especially to defend yourself...gotta love the republic of kalifornia.

  • @smithjacusmc

can you put a 10 round magazine in it if it was bought to come with 15 rounds?

  • @Sauron767 yes.

  • @smithjacusmc

then you can call that ca compliant

  • @smithjacusmc @smithjacusmc what's the point then? I hate the PRC...(people's republic of California)

  • @smithjacusmc HA!

  • @smithjacusmc you mean "kalifornistan"

  • @Sauron767 If you live in CA and you want this gun, your best course of action is to move out of CA. xD

  • I was impressed with how well you controlled the recoil on that thing. It looked like you were shooting a 9mm with light target loads or something.

  • I just bought one of these yesterday... but I have a 10 day waiting period before I can bring it home :( I cant wait though!

  • @MrUSAJAY thanks for the tip, but the question I had, and I guess I wasn't doing a good job of making it clear, was, what bullet weight preforms best in the M&P .40? I want to carry the heaviest bullet I can, but not at the expense of accuracy. I have zero experience with the 40 cal. I had hoped that someone might be able to shed some light on which bullet weight preformed the best.

  • @Hunter02166445 your not going to loose accuracy at defensive ranges, point blank to 15 yrds. You have to look at defense this way, if you can keep all your shots in an 10 inch disk while under duress, you're good to go. shoot the heaviest that you can handle. Grouping only wins competitions. Practice grip and trigger control to build muscle memory. the M&P is like Glock in the fact that all ammo will perform well in it, control and effectiveness depends on YOU. Happy Shooting.

  • @smithjacusmc True, grouping does win competitions, but by the same token, if you can get all your shots in the ten ring with 165 grain bullet, but can't even hit the paper with 180 bullets, its probably gonna be a good idea to only use 165 grain bullets, right? lol. I know it sounds far-fetched, but I have experienced that very occurrence before with other weapons. What I was trying to do here was save some cash by narrowing down the options some.

  • I just bought a M&P .40. Now I am looking for suggestions on what you think the best ammo is for it, for personal protection? I plan to carry hollow points. Do you recommend 165 grain, or the 180 grain?

  • @Hunter02166445 the general rule of thumb is to carry the same weight you practice with, or practice with what you carry. heavy weight tend to have a bit more recoil while velocity drops, but lighter tend to be faster with less recoil, in the end the consistency of your ammo to expand and stay mostly intact is what you want to use for your evaluation of ammo. The good stuff is expensive, but you will only shoot it in a life or death event, so money will not be an object.

  • @smithjacusmc Understood....what I was asking for though, was which preforms better in the M&P.40? I have no experience with this caliber, and after viewing your video, I thought you might be able to shed some light on the subject for me.

  • @Hunter02166445 well.. the M&P will shoot any .40 cal ammo you want to put in it. the .40 is a shortened 10mm, it's high velocity and hard hitting, this why so many law enforcement agencies use them, the M&P is highly versatile and able to handle good and "cheap" ammo. I carry Speer Gold Dots in my 9mm, Winchester XTP in my 357mag, an Federal Hydrashocks in my .380, in .40 I have a box of Winchester JHP, economy box of 100. In my opinion the 40 is such a great round, any brand will do.

  • @Hunter02166445 You have to understand that there is no end all perfect round for self defense, there are some good vids on youtube of water tests and expansion tests, on and on. you find one that fits what your looking for, and no matter what caliber, you want the same thing..stopping power. If I would recommend a round though, Speer golddot, or the Winchester XTP's. I hope I helped.

  • @smithjacusmc Okay......thanks for the info. I guess I'll just pick up a variety of different bullet weights and manufacturers, and go spend a day at the range. Figure out which works the best in my particular weapon, and stick with it.

  • @Hunter02166445 I like the 155 gr 1200 fps speer gold dot.

  • can you change the 40 sw to sig 357 by changing the barrel on these models?

  • @TheShootTruth10 I don't know, the only way to find out is see if someone make a caliber change barrel..google it, or YAHOO it...

  • i bought my m&p from gulf states for about 520 with the trijicon night sights which i love buy this pistol near perfect

  • i have an m&p 40 the model with the night sights and no thumb safety, i love the pistol i have shot about 5 to 6 thousand rounds through i have a small issue i am left handed and i have found that the slide release is very difficult, and no im not a pussy my friends xd 40 is much easier as well as my other friends px4 storm 40 so it is not me like i said i have put thousands of rounds so it cant be a breaking issue this issue isnt that big of deal for me because how you can slam the mag in retur

  • Damn 444 shipped? Shit! I need a cop buddy haha. I paid well over 550 bucks

  • @beEasy2011 That sucks, they were 460.00 at a gun show in December here in Dallas. I bought an XD-9 for 430.00 and I'm looking into the M&P40 now.

  • I have the same gun. Do you have trouble with the slide release? It's to low profile for me an I have a hard time releasing the slide. any tips? Am I doing something wrong?

Also I hear that if you insert a magazine with some force the slide would engage. Mine however doesn't do this. Does yours?

  • @beEasy2011 I have the .45 Compact and every time I slap in the Mag the slide releases.. great feature for fast combat reloads.

  • Hey man Awesome video! One question, S&W M&P .40, Springfield XD .40, which one is better? I have been eyeballing the XD for a while and then I saw the M&P and now I'm torn between the two. What do I do?

  • @BigHall22 hmm,

i vote for the M&P, personally I think S&W has done a great job pulling together alot of the best features from various brands of handgun, everything about it is smooth operation. but that's my opinion. thanks for watching.

  • 4.25" barrel dude

  • @nottinmatterz2day thanks dude.

  • @0:10 wow it comes with a knife!

  • @nottinmatterz2day for $70..yes

  • Using two fingers to rack the slide or using the slide release during shooting are big rookie moves. Why people are not being taught to usevthe entire had to rack the slide is beyond me. To many movies maybe? Handguns are emergency weapons and when your hands are shaking good luck manipulating it with one and two fingers.

  • Great video man. Just got mine through Bud's Police Supply online for 444 delivered. Also gonna send in the 50 dollar mail in rebate, so really end up paying under 400 bucks for it. Haven't got to shoot it yet, but I enjoyed the video, gives me a good idea of what to expect.

  • thanks so much at 500.00 that's a good deal i sop want this peace and i am so going to get it lol thanks again

  • great video! whats the price point on this peace

  • @P5ODIGY last time I checked on one..$500-$525 depends on who you are buying from, some shops can afford volume and pass on the savings others not so saving.

these where just over $400 for a while, but now the LE's are catching on and the price goes up just like Glocks did.

  • great video. I love my M&P 40 i got it a couple months after it was introduced a little over a year ago. I have put a couple thousand rounds down range with no issues. Smith and wesson has really done there homework on the gun. . just a side note i also got the Smith and Wesson M&P knife. Its a pretty good knife. a little heavy but a good knife for EDC (Every Day Carry)

  • I have fired this pistol, as well as its compact counterpart, . Its a nice pistol for duty carry IMHO, Few of my other friends are issued this in there respective departments, and they have said nothing but good things about it. I also have to say its way more comfortable to shoot compared to a glock or sig.

  • Nice video - I've heard good things about the M&P. The sunglasses on your head would have been better over your eyes during shooting though.

  • @dsquierj thanks for the safety tip. I know..I normally wear glasses, and when I wear contacts I forget that I have no eye protection on.

  • Is there an optional safety likem the airsoft version? I find it slightly more convienient to hit with the trigger finger while resting outside the trigger guard.

  • @swcwcc not sure what your asking, you can get it with an optional safety in the "1911" position.

  • I wish that the military would adopt this over the M9. I have never shot an actuall M9 but have alot of trigger time with the Berreta 92FS and it just pisses me off.

  • @Gunfreak513 I can relate, I think it's the 92/96 style frame, there is something "different" that makes it difficult to be consistent, I can shoot little groups with anything accept that design..

  • Good review. I tried a bunch of different handguns at a range where I could rent. Glock 17, Sig 226, H&K USP, and M&P. I shot all in 9mm and the H&K and M&P in 40sw at another time.

I liked the trigger on the M&P the best.

I just picked up the M&P 40 and waited patiently here in Canada for my ATT (authorization to Transport) to come through. I got out last week and shot 12 rounds. First few shots about 4" low at 15yards. I'm learning the trigger.

100's more loaded now. Love the gun.

  • Thanks so much for the video. I am in the process of purchasing my first handgun and this was the gun that came most highly recommended to me. This video really helped me to understand all the features of the gun and to get an experienced user's perspective. Thanks.

  • @DaMacOG thank you for watching, glad I could help.

  • no safety? not even a glock style one? and a stick to pull it apart. Ambidextrous slide release. Its got a few good things going for it and a few against. Ive shot one once, cant remember what it was like. thanks for the review.

  • @windofthegods actually it does have the same "type"of safeties as the glock, the trigger one being the most prominent, it just operates and looks different. Rather than a visible "button" the lower portion of the trigger "swings" when depressed to disengage the safety.

  • @windofthegods other than the trigger safety, this weapon has an optional thumb safety ( much like a 1911)

  • noaffiliationsfr, your right about the comment on the magazine diconnect. However, I own 2 M&P's 1 in a .40 S&W and the other in a .357 sig 1 with a disconnect, 1 not. I just thought i would let you know that the M&P does have a lever inside the action that in order to take down the weaponi t needs to be pushed down to make sure the person handling the weapon ensures the gun is clear to protect you from and accidental discharge of the firearm. Unlike the XD you can not just pull the trigger.

  • @nateccso10 sir you are incorrect about the mag disconnect comment. I clearly stated that this is an option, and mine "is absent these features", the point the noaffiliationsfr commenter was making erroneously is that I said it had a disconnect all the while pulling the trigger, he's a troll, and needs no advocate, thanks for watching..

  • this guy is an idiot, he said that the gun has a magazine disconnect meaning it doesn't fire without the magazine, the idiot successfully engaged the firing pin during the video without a magazine in the gun, then his take down method is ridiculous, all you have to do is lock the slide back, engage the take down lever, press the trigger and release the slide. Get your info right before making videos!!

  • @noaffiliationsfr hey idiot, perhaps you should check your info before making a fool of yourself, and listen carefully to the video. the mag disconnect is optional on the gun, usually comes standard, because s&w is PC, mine does not have the disconnect, was stated in the video. and the take down IS according to manufacturer specifications, do it your way and screw up your gun. and from the looks of your knowledge and your youtube page, your just a troll!

  • @smithjacusmc

how common is the ammo? are prices and availability pretty good?

  • @Sauron767 ammo for me (in texas) costs around $20.00 for 50 rounds not too expensive if i may say so...

  • Thanks for the detailed examination of this firearm. I'm writing a novel, and your video helps me accurately describe guns like this. Cheers.

  • very comfortable gun to hold and shoot. i love this gun!

Sold my glock to buy one after i shot my buddy's... not looking back.

  • Nice overview. Just purchased a 9mm M&P myself.

  • any issues with the trigger?

  • great video very informative thanks.this is an awesome pistol i have myself an M&P .40 and could not be happier with it.im so glad i added it to my collection.again great vid.

  • Nice, just got this one with night sights

  • That slide sounds nasty. What's the orange thing in the box for?

  • @atatkfighter that is the sound the slide makes for a while til well broken in, as do glocks. the orange thing is a safety plug for the chamber to show the weapon as unloaded, for transport.

  • Please use your glasses when shooting. Hot bullet casings can and will fly back to your face every once-in-a-while.

  • are the barrel of the 9mm interchangeable with the .40mm so as the mags from .40 to 9mm?

  • Too much talking, not enough useful information.

  • @isisncasey you seem to have good intentions but lack the wisdom needed to understand that the vast majority of americans looking for a gun do not know what you think is common knowledge, I am providing this service. and my vids vary in content and lay out, in very dramatic ways, all depends on the day I'm having. besides, this is youtube not Discovery channel.. thanks for your comments and suggestions.

  • @smithjacusmc well said! its amazing how many award winning videographers and critics use youtube. hahahaha! i loved the video i also own a m&p 40 (compact)

i love the gun! everyone seems to think glock is the beginning and ending to all handguns. i love s&w and i also like taurus handguns too! i have a full sized taurus 24/7 in .45acp not so easy to conceal but super reliable, accurate, and just fun to look at!!!! and with that note great video keep posting !

  • @isisncasey My wisdom encompasses a military career as operator ina Spec ops unit called RECON. Maybe you've heard of it, I'm guessing you're a youtube "commando" since you think your opinion counts. Fucking poser.

  • @isisncasey oh really, last time I was in the Marines the recon guys only wished they where spec ops, when in reality they are ...Recon, a forward operating information gathering unit, that had the honor of working with SOCOM. In the end they are still marines, just like the the rest of us. You probably have a massive muscular physique and PT 300, sorry I never achieved that, now if you where not taking a swipe at me, well what I said is still true. Semper Fi and no hard feelings.

  • @isisncasey- You do a great job reminding everyone why Marines are idiots, thank you for a reminding us. Try being a professional and show some discipline.

  • @Jarodbaker all marines are Idiots? hmmm, gotta wonder what your angle is chief? Your profile gives no indication why you dislike us JARHEADS( army, navy, birdman). I believe idiots span the whole of the populace, they are everywhere, just go for a drive around the block, you will meet several of them, and not one will be a marine.

  • ive shot em there pretty accurate nice gun man

  • Sounds like the slide needs oil :P

  • @YukonDrumLine your ears deceive you...or really, you're unfamiliar with this guns unique sounds..

  • @YukonDrumLine it's the steel guide rod making that sound. The M&P is wonderfully made.

  • lol up intill 5:30 i thought this was an airsoft revier :(

  • LOL ,I've been there. This was recorded in TN wasn't it?

  • @JINXED7777 negative, this is SE TN.

  • I own a Glock 21. Have owned a Glock 19. It's time for a change. The Springfield Armoury just can't earn my respect. This gun right here is the one.

  • Very accurate, light and reliable. My instructor did 3000 rounds with no malfunction. I did 200 yesterday on practice and it felt great.

  • Not bad Marine! The thing I don't like about the M&P and other pistols similar to it are all the "edges" on it. In particular on the slide. I prefer a "smoother" gun for several reasons.

    Semper Fi

  • I am most accurate with this gun and it feels the best in my hand. I also love the trigger. I prefer this over glocks, sigs and everything else.

  • Victoria Police, Australia, has just ordered 10,000 for the force. Moving from old .38 S&W revolvers they've had since 1976 to these. I'm no gun nut but they do look good from all I've read and seen. Thanks for the review.

  • @ogdog123 I'm from Victoria aswell, i'm browsing the net to see if the Vic police made a good choice, because all other police forces in Australia use Glocks, except south Australia

  • I'm gonna have to comment respectfully on your analogy of it being the Ferrari of handguns. I would have to say its the Corvette ZR1of the handgun world. You get all the performance and in some cases better ergonomics of the expensive handguns at half the price, while you still have good looks. And its made in the USA.

I'm also one of those officers recently converted from the Glock to the M&P as my duty weapon. Though my off duty gun is still my Glock 19 ;)

  • @4x4frontierse yeah...I guess I would have to go with your take on that...my analogy was a bit off the cuff, not actually thought through, oh well, corvette it is.

  • @4x4frontierse How many officers in your precinct carry the M&P now? I have heard they have been replacing Glocks in many different departments and states. I own a M&P 40 full size with Crimson Trace grips and Streamlight Tlr-3 rail mounted light. It is my first handgun and my daily carry weapon. Had it for almost 4 years with only 1 failure to fire and that was probably due to cheap Walmart ammo. I cannot compare it to most as I don't own any other handguns yet but I love it very much.

  • I see you too own a Cold Steel Scimitar...

  • @wdwhawkeye yep even have vid of it, got lots of cold steel knives, they are my fav.

  • @arguewithdees not all stainless is shiny. It is marked on the gun and S&W describes it that way. thanks

  • Is it just me or is the safety gone?

  • The 'safety' is a double action trigger that wont fire unless pulled properly. I LOVE the gun but if I had 1 complaint that would be it. Therefore I wont keep one chambered if in IWB holster.

  • @582102847662 never had a problem myself, you just have to be extra aware of the trigger, no different than a 1911 or HP, I usually keep my indexfingeracross the trigger guard so I know nothing is getting snaged in there.

  • @SecretService80 same as a Glock, the triggerhas a lever built in to prevent movement with out actually pulling it, plus a drop safety, and a half cocked striker.

  • @smithjacusmc I thought it had some kind of safety switch or release lever in the same place that the M1911A1 has?

  • @SecretService80 I was recently looking at the S&W website and noticed they now have the m&p with a optional safety lever that you described, which is cool, S&W has made their best gun yet fully optional to the needs of the end users.

  • @SecretService80 Yep ur right this one does not have the safety on it.

  • M&P .40 or Xd .40 ?? please help

  • @koftaboy M&P!!! it has a lower Bore axis which is better for recoil! Looks better and Police departments are picking them over glock every day! I live in NY (syracuse) and the PD here just picked it up! They got rid of the glock and all the police i have talked to like it better! They are even picking up the Compacts as backup pieces cause of how it performs!! hope that helps! and i have one!!

  • @DMFL22 I have a few Glock-a-phile friends who after shooting the M&P, felt the "need" to get one also, it's the cure for a bad Glock habit...and really if I had the $ I would have one each handgun made in a very nice walk in vault, and carry a different one each day, but the reality is I will take Glock if it is what I have,or an XD if it is what I have, or a FEG Hungarian clone of some high end gun, or what ever...I do draw the line at high point and those junk bryco-jennings, and similar.

  • I traded my Glock 23 for this gun. I shot about 300 rds through it and was impressed. Very accurate, very comfortable too. After a few shots and adjusting the rear site, I was right on target. I highly recommend it. Also, great no BS review man, thanks.

  • i have the MP40c. i've sent the handgun back for repairs already. the problem i was having with the pistol, was that the slide would lock back after each round is fired. S&W customer service is outstanding as usual. it took about two weeks for repairs, however the same problems occurred when i brought the handgun to the range. i guess i bought a brand new lemon. also, i'm not too fond of the extremely soft trigger pull.

  • Ive heard of this occuring in a few rare instances with this model. I would definitely send it back AGAIN and express my DISPLEASURE and hopefully theyll treat you proper this time. Ive put well over 500 rounds in mine with no prob and I think youd really grow to like it.

  • I just bought my M&P .40 yesterday, and can't wait to shoot it this weekend.

  • cool video

  • I bought one exactly like it a week or so ago. Put over 500 rounds trough it already I just purchased a TLR1 weapon light for it today.

  • I have one in 40SW, shoots true out of the box, 2000 rounds down it and not a single issue at all, easy disassemble and cleaning. The only issue i have had is i seem to be quite good at miss placing the small disassembly tool that also hold in the interchangeable palm swells... which were a huge selling point for me.

  • The M&P .45 won gun of the year in 2007.
