BHD MAP MAKING TUTORIAL PT.1

OK in case any new map makers read this. These vids show the Team Sabre add on the Black Hawk Down. You can't use TS objects in a map that is going to be uploaded to a BHD server for multiplayer on Novaworld. But if you mix up objects in your maps so you have BHD and TS items you can play them on TS servers.

If you only have BHD get the TS add on, it adds new stuff.

These games are still played by thousands every day because they are real fun and free.

the map terrain ZOO is a dfbhd:ts ( delta force black hawk down team sabre ) terrain and WILL CRASH ur server if you up load it the only way it wont crash is if ur hosting a dfbhd:ts server.

so make a event 'play part animation' > play > 4000 seconds > you're ready (:

dude your awesome, ive played this game as a kid when it came out, it was 6 yearss ago when i got this, i figured out what Mission Editor was and i made maps but never knew how to zoom in so for 6 years i never knew, thanks, im 14 now and i made maps as an 8 year old.

@Flueeeee you put them on guarding and set their height so they wont sitting on the ground(if the littlebird is on the ground) or falling from the sky(if he littlebird is flying)

Assistant VP make sure your save folder is the right one before you save and export

Also if you dont pick a gametype in general information the game will show up as a quick mission under SINGLE PLAYER

hey do you know if theres any way to move in the map editor on a laptop?

i know that on a pc the 2,4,6,8 is the moving on a pc on the numpad but i cant figure out how to move around on a laptop? any ideas?

Americanrat2 not sure if it works on a laptop but the better way to move around the med is use CTRL & RIGHT click this will center on the click so wherever your cursor is thats where the center of map will move to, but you may have to change computer resolution on the laptop to make it work right

i go to general information, choose a map. but i cant move inside it , i have to change the X en the Y for moving left or right, up or down. I tried every key but not one of them worked, plz could somebody help me. a time before it worked well at all. very strange.

i dont understand it. the main stock maps remain fine. The sky is how I want them until i bring them up into the mission editor, then they change. Does anybody else have this problem and can help me solve it? Please! Thanks You!

i dont know if anybody else has this problem, but when i try to use the Time of Day, or Environment File, I can only use the ones that are capitalized like this: DAWN3, DAY6, NIGHT6, and so on. If i use the lowercase ones like these, Dawn 1, Daytime 2, Dusk 3, all i get is a boring flat out blue sky. Example, On Cultural Clash A,B - I want to use the sky/clouds they have in it, so i used the map itself and just deleted all buildings, dec, etc. but it comes up with a blue sky still when i edit it

You use Area Triggers and EVENTS

hey do you know how to get the helicopter to land again after it has circled round once, because all i can do is get it to take off and keep going round the map.

what you do is make a area trigger... name it wat ever you want... then make the last waypoint in that area trigger box... and in events... create a event... "Triggers"now put SSN then area trigger.. then put the number of area trigger u had for landing.. then "Actions" change Al Single then al state then land.... simple. hope it helps!!

Character(the character, actual colors of terrain)

Height(topographical the lighter green is higher land)

DEPTH(flat terrain areas show up black nonflat terrain areas show up gray)

ZOO is a Team Sabre terrain

For ease of mapping don't use arrow keys to navigate map use CTRL RIGHT CLICK

this will center on click and is much easier and faster to navigate around map when using

important functions like snap

save and export will do same thing just no TXT will be saved of map stats
