Pearl Jam - Rear view mirror live!

I love this song to bits and they play it very well in this version...but why do they look like they are having no fun whatsoever? Backs to the audience, hardly moving and every move they make seems almost rehearsed/mechanical. Perhaps it is just the way PJ usually looks live (I have yet to see them live), but if it is not, I would feel quite cheated if I were in the audience.
