This will only sell in the USA.....European. South America. and Asian police dept's will never purchase this insanely expensive gas hog of a vehicle for its peace officers... Yeah it looks cool but does it really do anything better then a Dodge Hemi Charger? And if so does what it does better justify its 2X pricetag? Doubtful on both counts.. Also with the economy the way it is an expensive high performance car like this will be a tough sell to the public come local/state election time..

To make a police car you need the stock car, then the equipment (very expensive) plus shipping, installation time and costs, graphics for the body, etc. It ends up being extremely expensive and time consuming. E7, you pick the items you want and it's delivered to you patrol ready for about the same price with all the benefits it provides over the other brands.

holy fuck 1,500 license plates a minute! i guarantee you when these cars get out if you have caused any "trouble to the law" you're fucked i bet they will even get you for parking tickets you might have gotten in the past, if you haven't paid them. we will be paying for this and HUGE

They have them on some cop cars now (maybe 1-4 cars per department) and also the same cameras with the technology at stoplights and other places where cars frequent. What's cool is that the technology also assigns each plate a gps reading and exact time, so they can basically follow you based on which intersections you go through and what cop cars you pass.
@OnBakePlatinum We've had an extensive network here in the UK and it's fitted to many traffic patrol cars since the mid 2000s. Works really well and has been invaluable in the fight against insurance dodgers as well as identifying stolen vehicles and vehicles reported to have been involved in the commission of crimes amongst other things.

@blacknight9110 did you not understand what the guy said? he said it automaticly reads the plate as the cop is driving past the car, so you don't have to worry about if you catch them or not but 99.9% of the time they do get caught anyway
@RickySouthwell so you telling me that can read a plate form lets say 1/4 mile -1 mile away idk about you but that thing screams police and if your doing something wrong you keep a look out for the cops so i keep my statement what good is it if you can catch them I'm pertty sure you have to be in a certain distance to get a good picture even with all the rendering software in the world ....

its going to be so expensive they cant pit and ram with the cars anymore so i think big cities will keep the crown vic.. its not for nothing the most used police car..
