  • I agree with doyle2001 pesticides cannot be washed off since they become part of the plant just like any other nutrient, you may be able to wash off some residue of pesticide that has been left on the skin but the rest is already within the plant cells. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is nothing that can replace buying organic

  • @ylfriends i soak my leafy and delicate greens in water that has a few drops of the vegetable wash and then rinse them. it works fine. they don't get soggy.

  • Thanks for the info - I think this is good for the vegetables that peel - lemon, grapefruits, apples, potatoes, carrots and such - how do you wash leafy and delicate ones like cabbage, baby greens and cilantros? I think soaking them may make them soggy and stuff.

  • your eyes are amazing O_O

  • Thanks a lot for sharing the information.

Pesticides on produce can cause cancer and ADHD (attention deficit disorder ) .

I was looking for a way to clean my produce. I will give this Fruit & Vegetable Wash a try .

how do you like the wash so far ?

  • @doyle2001 yes, you are so right! ive only recently become more thoroughly enlightened about the horrific soil that non-organic plants are grown in. right now, i buy basically all organic, simply because i know they were grown in better soil. thank you for the insight that you shared--most definitely welcome here! this video may help people who just cant buy organic to do what they can to reduce pesticide exposure. still, theres no substitute for organic!

  • Many pesticides are now systemic.... meaning the pesticides is taken up by the plant through the roots. It travels INSIDE the plant and cannot be washed off.

Also... non organic produce may very well be GMO... genetically modified... can not washing off that! Finally, washing off produce with detergent which is usually petroleum based is probably just as bad as pesticide. Thanks for the conversation.... please post more videos!

  • @highvoltage13 thanks! so glad it was helpful to you! if you have a trader joe's nearby, check them out. they have reasonably priced organic stuff =]

  • Super informative. I try to pick up organic produce when I can but my parents are usually put off by the price, like most people can be, great to know there are ways to work around it. Thanks! :)
