Also, there's always the tension between retaining one's car as 'original' in all respects, or modifying it to make it more driveable for today with a whole raft of available modifications. Nowadays, it is fascinating to look at a a selection of SP250s at a Meet, and no two will be the same unlike modern cars. They're all treasures!
I was holding my camera in my right hand (& steering with my left -- and knees!). The music was from Radio 3, which happened to be playing rather appropriate music for the occasion.
Unfortunately, most of this part of the journey was on the flat or downhill, so there is no engine noise of significance to record anyway. Now if we were climbing a hill ... the sound track would be very different!
My car (BOL 250), built in 1960 is fitted with 'C' Spec doors, so at least that problem is solved!
