  • I can see you're a perfectionist! You might well be right, but I loved the music anyway.

Also, there's always the tension between retaining one's car as 'original' in all respects, or modifying it to make it more driveable for today with a whole raft of available modifications. Nowadays, it is fascinating to look at a a selection of SP250s at a Meet, and no two will be the same unlike modern cars. They're all treasures!

  • great vid, just one critisism, 30s music to 60s sports cars just sounds wrong.. sorry

  • Haha, exactly the same music that I listen to when I drive my DD6.

  • Nothing beats a dart round the country lanes!

  • I was holding my camera in my right hand (& steering with my left -- and knees!). The music was from Radio 3, which happened to be playing rather appropriate music for the occasion.

Unfortunately, most of this part of the journey was on the flat or downhill, so there is no engine noise of significance to record anyway. Now if we were climbing a hill ... the sound track would be very different!

My car (BOL 250), built in 1960 is fitted with 'C' Spec doors, so at least that problem is solved!

  • How did manage to keep the doors closed going over those bumps !

  • With that engine, amigo, you don't need no music !
