  • what type of linux?

  • @joshmvfx hey there, i think it was just ubuntu with compiz for the window management stuff

  • your are so awesome, you work with phyton script exellent

  • thanks you helped me alot but now i got a new problem. Everything works fine the script is running and i can add a video. My problem is these points are not straight also the camera moves that much that these points don`t stay in the camera view. Also i was wondering why there is only one camera in yout tut, when i import the script i get 8 one moves to these points and 7 others looking in the opposite direction

  • @noclueaboutanything Hi there!

Sorry to hear about the issue,

The 'first' thing that comes to mind is:did you use the 'rotation (camera on tripod)' setting in voodoo for the tracking? I've had odd results with the 'free move' setting.

The 'second' thing that comes to mind is:'i'm not sure specifically what could be wrong'...are you able to run the script on an older version of blender, then save the file and open it with a new version (like NunyoEffinBusiness suggests)?leme know if not work pls

  • @JarreddeBeer Hi

I played a little bit with blender and voodoo and finally after deleting and restarting the script a couble of times in blender 2.57 I only had one camera left. Without changing a thing.

But I didn't find out anything yet about the camera movement. I tryed your suggestion and changed from free move to rotation but it is just a little bit better. But not like yours. I'm going to get a tripod and make a short film just with someone walking through the film maybe this will do it

  • @noclueaboutanything, that's interesting. I'm glad it worked though! the footage used in this video was handheld and wasn't great quality, it suprises me that you get worse results :/. I'm sure your project will come out fine though... enjoy!

  • the only way to get it to work is to follow these instructions using blender 2.55 then after you get it working save it then open it in the newer version

  • Yeah that's not a bad option actually. borisjoukov made a flash script on his website which should fix the py script: borisblendersite.wikeo.net - 'voodoo script fixer' link on the front page.

It should still work, i hope it does, though i'm not sure how much things have changed since he wrote it.

  • @JarreddeBeer As of right now, the flash script worked for me (I'm using 2.7). Its great that someone was able to find a fix for it :)

  • @TheBohrokMan Yay i'm so pleased :), Thanks for letting us know!

  • The error has been resolved (with blender 2.57) just remove "mathutils.Matrix" and keep the arguments with the parentheses

  • @borisjoukov Thanks a lot boss.

  • ps (see my last message) : the console says "TypeError : mathutils.Matrix(): expects no args or 2-4 numeric sequences"

  • Hello

I have a problem with the new release of blender (2.57)

Nothing changes with the "set_frame()" error but there is another one i can't fix and the console do not says anything about this error.

    --> vcam.matrix_world = mathutils.Matrix([x,x,x],[x,x,x],[x,x,x],[x,x,x]) does not work !

(2 lines after the set_frame error)

Please answer me if you found a way to fix it.

    Thanks

  • this is making me so mad it dose not want to work T_T i have tried so many different things got eny other suggestions ??

  • Thanks so much for creating this amazing vid. I saw this on the wikiblenderaddons page and learned a lot from your vid, so I had to come fave it and sub you. Keep up the great work. You rule.

  • Makes me want linux

  • @tek5828 It's free to download ;-)

  • Thats a cool design that you have :D Where can i get it too ?

  • @RayandCano jeepers i can't really remember! i think it's just a simple elementary theme on ubuntu, using compiz for the tabbing of windows etc, and emerald for the window decoration. the background came from pr09studio

  • Hi rboetsma1, sorry it was rushed to fit the 10min gap..

So there is keyframe information set on the camera for each frame. The script works except for the lines of code "scene.set_frame[x]" which has since changed in the API. All we do with the script is filter through it and replace "scene.set_frame[x]" with "scene.frame_current = x" - which works.

I would guess that this would not need to be done with the recent release of Voodoo

  • i still don't understand what you are doing with the script to make it work

  • Perfect! This solved the python script problem I was having. Thank you very much! :)

  • @BnBGobo Cool i'm glad it worked! Haven't tried the new 2.56 to see if it still works with the API. Also haven't tried the new version of Voodoo yet to see if the export script works with the API, but it might do.

    Enjoy

  • your website is broken or something

  • @YayJike Hey Yay, thanks for letting me know! the links now fixed
