Everything in the stimulus bill has never proven to work. Canadians like him cause he's one of them and advocates Canadian like views and less of traditional American ideas.
And what is "traditional American ideas"? Is it everything that America stands for? Democracy, liberty, opportunity, self-reliance, innovation, progress? Or is it everything you CHOOSE to believe in? as in what the Republican Party THINKS "American ideas" are...
When he visits the UK, would you say the same thing? Define "Canadian like views" are you saying Canada doesn't believe in the fundamental things that America believes in? If that was true, Canada would be a dictatorship, perhaps a poor 3rd world country, and Canadians would hate everything America stands for...
Calm down realize your a socialist and were not and some people want this country that way. We have a higher standard for people who come here than you or even some people who always lived here. And we have more people than you who are lets say dead beats. Our government was never meant to be a charity for everyone who needs something that's why our GDP is 13 times more than yours and would be better if people here practice self-reliance. And plenty people like me feel that way. No offense.
First off, I'm not Canadian, nor am I a socialist. See, look at your narrowminded thinking. Just because I disagree with you, you label me a socialist and you practically labeled ALL Canadians as socialists with that comment. I believe in a free market just like you, because it's the best way for our country to prosper, but I also believe that we should have regulations so things don't get out of control, hence the situation we are in now.
Things were regulated and look at all the governments in the world now. Struggling badly if their lucky. Government bailouts and mandates to give out high-risk loans. Infrastructure stimulus that didn't work in Japan or in our great depression. And frankly entitlement stimulus is complete b.s. just to get re-elected. If we let failures fail they'll learn. And the rest of us won't be in the same boat. But it should be kept at job creation if aloud at all. Now all of us are in debt with it.
Second, yes, the government is not supposed to be a nanny for everyone. However, would you rather have the govt do nothing when our economy is down? Would you prefer laissez-faire? and have the govt do nothing at all?
