Guys have more freedom to drink alcohol and party? To me when people say freedom all I can think is drinking and partying. So that freedom thing is just crap to me. I do agree that Hmong men have to catch up in their studies. We are falling behind and I don't even need statistics for that as I can see it with my own eyes. And the thing about Hmong men tired of following traditional rules so they rebel by dropping from colleges have got to be the most cliche excuse I have ever heard. Really.

true in the way but i still think the hmong boys get more pressure then the girls girl get stay home watch tv,study, and whatever we mens have to find jobs pay bill etc and have an expectation upon us alway how is it more freedom to the boys -.- it more of the other way around.

@stfumvs this doc isnt about hmong men vs hmong women. its to bring attention to a very serious issue in the hmong community. there are just as many hmong men as there are hmong women going into the university of minnesota but the graduation rate is 2 to 1 in favor of the hmong women. we're trying to figure out what is causing such a high drop out rate amongst hmong men in the universities.

from my own observations, i believe that guys just arent as focused as the women in college. i see more women studying while most of the men are either at the gym or playing some sort of MMO on their computers. i doubt its anything that has to do with pressure from their families.
