And the exported versions were just repackaged versions of the Japanese blue version because it took out some crippling glitches as well as replacing the sub par sprites.

Was playing this game earlier for nostalgic value; I can confirm that the Jigglypuff in the opening officially had a hack on, as normal moves are not effective on it. Or he knows an elemental move learnt from a TM which requires physical movement like that

If you play Red/Blue on a Pokemon Stadium 2 (idk about PS1) it has the same pallet as Yellow! (meaning it's colored). That doesn't work on a GameBoy player, or a GameBoy Color/Advance.
