  • 0:22 u seriously think he wood be holding a 300lb marlin with 1 hand? and a rod of tht size? dumb cunt

  • @lifesaboar3 the only reason its possible is because the kayak is getting dragged arround so the tension is not that high, so he is literally reeling himself to the marlin once it gets tired out

  • can tel tht is bulshit. noway cold you hold a marlin on a rod and reel that small.

  • @lifesaboar3 LOL this is not bullshit, this is WELL documented on several sights now.

  • @lifesaboar3 It's possible. We paddled out, hooked, landed, and paddled back in a 194# Pacific Blue Marlin using a Fin-Nor Spinning reel and a 7' Ugly Stik.

  • what eats marlin? .. sharks? i wouldnt be sitting in a kayak, with shark bait jumping around me.. but hey.. i admire your balls

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!

  • did he land it?

  • No... after almost 5 hours, we were running out of daylight. He had to really put the pressure on it, and the line broke. BUT... while Howard was fighting this one, Matt Moyer hooked and landed a 130 lb striped marlin in less than an hour. We'll be posting that soon.

  • Awesome Guys!!

  • Marlin fishing in a kayak.... "INSANE".

  • camera man fell haha nice!

  • super! you guys have give kayak fishing a new meaning. keep up the good work! would it not help to anchor down the kayak? just wondering...

  • thats awsome! how far were you off shore?

  • maybe two -three miles but dragged him up the coast about 15

  • damn. awesome vid

  • did he have to paddle 20 miles?

  • Nope... couldn't have done this without the power boats for support. The power boats were also important to have for safety reasons.

  • wow!

  • funny how the guy was getting towed by the marlin! thats the best LoL. Keep havin fun my brothers! thumbs up!

  • That is simply awesome. I can only image what was running though your mind when that powerful creature was jumping 15ft in front of you. Kudos for the testicular fortitude. Happy fishing!

  • Thats beuatiful, ok. No doubt. But on kayak fishing you cant take out the hook when you realise.

  • The only way you can explain kayak fishing is to do it. If you are keeping your fish{not releasing it for eating purposes} you should have a kayak with a compartment big enough to hold your fish{inside your kayak, compartment in front or center of your kayak, otherwise club it good if its too big to fit, and return to your launch site. Eat what you catch always, fish tacos are the best, and better shared with friends. Fish on and keep our sport alive by only catching what you will eat.

  • mental, bet its some rush.

  • this guy is fn insane man! I fish off a kayak but would not even think about attempting to catch a marlin! but hats off this guys got guts!

  • just out of curiosity, how come people fish in kayaks? where are you gonna put all the fish

  • People fish from kayaks for soooo many reasons best advice would be try it out yourself.

  • it gives you an adrenaline rush, it's harder, it's more affordable.

    main reasons.

  • haha that's awesome. I like how you threw your feet back in the yack in fear of getting them speared by the marlin. that must have been awesome! i saw this posted on moldychum's site. tight lines!

  • EPIC
