Ok I usually just watch vids and dont comment. But girl you cannot decide if you like that hairstyle.....I CANT STOP STARING I LUV YOUR HAIR...it is soo cute...U should do a tutorial on that style. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to do it on my hair.
There is actually an older version of Creme of Nature in which the bottle is red and white that one is really good bc it does not have any sodium laureth sulfate in it. The new formulation which you have shown in your video now has it listed in the ingredients and I did notice a difference. We have the old one which leaves your hair super soft and I tried the which really does leave it dry. It's a shame bc I think it WAS a pretty decent shampoo and it detangled so well.
Yea I think the Creme of Nature depends on your hair bc my mom uses it (she's natural) and I recently tried it (transitioning). I loved it!!! I felt the moisture like she says...so it prob depends on your hair
my relaxed hair used to LOOOVVVEE cream of nature, used it for years however, it made my natural hair so HARD and DRY! I gave it away. I used Castille liquid soap and add my favorite essential oils. A little goes a long way so it lasts a long time.
Nothing that anyone can prove. From cosmeticscop/dot/com (and she uses legitimate citations:
Clear, odorless oil derived from petroleum that is widely used in cosmetics because it rarely causes allergic reactions and it cannot become a solid and clog pores.
Mineral oil itself is not that bad, but it causes other problems. Basically, it clogs your hair so that other stuff can't get in, and, because it clogs your hair, you then have to use a harsh shampoo to get it off if you want you hair to be really clean and open to new products. Also, it has no actual benefits, its only used because it does not cause bad reactions and it's cheap. i don't support using any ingredient without a real reason, and being cheap for manufacturers is not a good reason
everybody's got their own opinion but i think your hairstyle is HOT. mixing different styles for a do always gives natural hair a real fresh look. nice reviews too.
i finally realize that all you need to take care of hair is two seta of shampoo and conditioners'the right kind]different types of oil;;shea butter moisterize;;ic fantasia gel;;wow;;everyone mad it complicated;;i guess those were the product junkies;;thanksz for the help;;thsi was guud;;
cant wait till next year when i finish transitioning.=]
If your hair falls into the Type 4 category, then it is kinky, or very tightly curled. Generally, Type 4 hair is very wiry, very tightly coiled and very, very fragile. Type 4B, which has a "Z" pattern, less of a defined curl pattern. 4b hair has a tighter wave pattern and kinks of various size. This texture does not exhibit the shine or silkiness of looser type curls, but instead has sheen, and a soft, almost cotton-like feel. - Found on naturallycurly(dot)com.
I am transitioning, and i noticed that when I have my hair flat ironed, shea butter will leave a greasy feel on my hair. however, if i apply it to my hair when it's curly or when its wet, it is not greasy at all...i guess the best advice would be to just try it and see if it works.
i am about to start transitioning but i use this silk elements shea butter and lemon grass moisturizer. Its supposed to be for your skin but it works great on my hair..not greasy at all. I can almost use as much as i want without it being greasy and i have VERY dry hair. The lemon smell does take some getting used to though.
You are gorgeous and your forehead is not big girl!!! Anyways, thanks for the vid. I have 4b/4a/4whatever hair and it really is a trial and error trying to find the right products.
yall could someone please explain to me what's bad about mineral oil, I never knew and I really want to know cause I have a few products with mineral oil in them, like what are the bad effects that it does to your hair?
mineral oil products as well as petroleum based products sufficate the hair. From a scientific approach, our hair (african american) is dry because the cuticles of our hair do not lye flat like white hair. Because the cuticles are open our hair is prone to be dry and tangled. We need water and natural oils such as coconut and olive oil penetrate our hair; go under the cuticles of our hair; inside our hair.
i agree i was SOO mad when i bought the doo grow i threw it out, all those great oils but mineral oil was the 1st ingredient!!..and i love the herbal oil!..i might get it again.
I like the coconut milk shampoo as a body wash... it does nothing for my hair I havent used the conditioner cuz the shampoo turned me off... but i will later in the future
Shea butter it the sh*t! ^_^ ...Honestly, I have started making some of my own hair stuff b/c mineral oil and petroleum are in so many hair products and it's also cheaper to make your own. For instance, wiped shea is a good one and coconut, shea, rosemary oil for my scalp; as well as an avocado hair paste that I have started using that I make from natural food ingredients (I use it as a pre-shampoo).
THANK YOU!!! Are they expensive there?? I went to an organic store last week and uhhhh that small bottle was $13!! I'm in college...I'm ballin' on a budget lol
There is another Doo Gro oil which is the thickening growth oil which has no mineral oil in it at all . Go check it out girl its good. Thanks for all your info
