However, he has a better glove hand than Price. If you make Halak move laterally, he will get exposed.

How do we know Halak will keep this up? His size is a disadvantage. Next year, the goalie equipment gets even smaller. His style and underdog story reminds me of Tim Thomas. Thomas is now getting outplayed by the bigger, more technical goalie in Rask!

you do make a good point but also look at it this way; Martin Brodeur, the most winningest goalie in NHL history as of this season had less wins in his first 2 seasons as Carey Price does in his first 2. if montreal was smart they would use Price to his advantage and try to resign him and keep him longterm. Building the Canadiens around Price is the smartest move they can make because 1: hes going to be the best goalie in the NHL in the next 2 seasons, 2: he has amazing potential,

Never knew he was part 1st nations. Great Goalie none the less. Its amazing to see how guys from little towns like mine go so far. But its the little teams with all the heart. Weve played teams from big cities all across Ontario but they dont have the drive that we did the shear love of the game.

Are the Habs ever lucky to have this guy. I never even knew who he was until I saw his heroics at World Juniors, where he basically stole the semi-final win for Canada (especially in overtime). He is amazing.

lucky? hey they chose him and we had a good goalie at the time. We needed Forwards in Mtl at the time not goalies. Gainey saw right. He chose him before other future stars. This is being wise, not luck. Unlike the leafs, what a bunch of stupid drafters. lol, I say you are not going anywhere near the playoffs this year. But I do agree with you: LUCKY wasn't the right word. They simply just picked the right guy. Montreal has a bright future, as we saw with their farm team winning the Calder Cup. They need to get some scorers, though: that's why I'm baffled at them picking a no-name defenceman over Esposito, or another offensive player.
