One of the most underrated guitarists of all time

I usually play more extreme music on guitar (thrash/death etc.). But I still seem to stick to Ratt's stuff somehow. I've played Ratt's repertoire of songs, on guitar, since '98. (although I've listened to them since I was 8 years old.) And I still find them interesting to play. I've started seriously practicing Warrens solos. And I can say my fingers stink of nickel and are somewhat sore. Warren is one underrated guitarist! But he's up there with Glenn/K.K. et al. Truly amazing. Cheers!

Years ago when Yngwie Malmsteen was asked which players he was most impressed with, the only name he responded with was that of Warren DeMartini. His unique touch on the strings created a sound all his own, and his signature Charvel's sound great and look fantastic! Back in the day, nobody looked cooler playing on stage than Warren.

I've been a Ratt fan for over 30 yrs. since was 14 I haven't ever stopped listening to Warren's "ear crack" and and his solo technique is one of a kind and can't ever possibly be duplicated, his use of aolian and mixolydian is just so sweet innovative and mysterious ...I would just be happy to be sound comparable..

A++++++++++ This video is awesome. It's so cool to hear Warren jamming like this. When he solo's without the backing track, I hear his blues influence in a way I've never noticed.

Ever since he became old, he never... ever looks happy. Seriously, is he in physical pain? If I were 1/16th as good as he is I'd be very happy.

@Saddenedbyitall Met him when I was 16, am 44 now, and thats just the way he is. He came up to me a my buddy needing a light for his smoke and hung out with us for about 20 minutes. He had the same face, like he was bummin. lol. Great guy though, loves his fans. The rest of the band ignored us.

Man, this dude comes up with the coolest solos. The one for "You're in trouble" is just insane. When I gave guitar lessons, I used to tell kids to develop their own voice. Too bad i didnt have this video to show them exactly what i mean. Warren has a style all his own.
